NIGERIAN international, John Chukwudi Utaka has expressed interest in playing in the Scottish Premier League, with Rangers as his target amid interest from Bolton, Sunderland and Fulham.

Utaka who is on his way out of Portsmouth FC in an interview stated that he would love the challenge of the SPL and Champion League actions.

Utaka, 28, moved to Portsmouth three years ago for £7million from French side, Rennes and the Fratton Park club will be hoping to recoup part of the investment in the Nigerian striker.

I have a couple of offers now and I would love to play for Rangers in the Scottish League because it will give me the opportunity to showcase my talent in the Champions League and you know that it is watched in the whole world,” said Utaka.

He added: “it will give me the opportunity to show my detractors that I am not finished yet. Rangers is a good team that has won the title for the third time now, and I would love to associate myself with them’’.
