Two titles in four years would've looked better than one in 3 1/2 years.Gerrard’s stock wouldn’t have got any higher at Rangers after 55 and him leaving was best for all parties.

He was a very good player. Sad that he totally shat it in the Uefa Cup Final (from what I remember of the 45 mins I actually managed to see!)One of my controversial opinions is that Hemdani was genuinely top class. I feel that we could have built the midfield around him and he could have played until his late 30s.
I can’t believe that he seems to have retired after Rangers. His reading of the game, his simple direct passing, his ability to cut passing lanes…
I don’t think a single defensive midfielder other than Kamara has been on his level since (I don’t class Davis as a pure defensive midfielder as his main asset is arguably his forward passing).
If we had Hemdani now he’d walk into the team and we’d concede very few goals.
True but I don’t believe we’d have won the league under Gerrard. The spark had gone. Two titles in four years would've looked better than one in 3 1/2 years.

You think we'd lose the league had Gerrard still been here?True but I don’t believe we’d have won the league under Gerrard. The spark had gone.
I think it’s weird and cringeworthy people saying they get hard or are wanking over football. I understand it’s not literal but stil is weird imo. Don’t know if all teams support do this.Mine is josh windass is a baller and in this squad he would be unreal.
I find the fact folk revel in their lack of knowledge about wider football, utterly bizarre.A huge amount of Rangers fans haven’t got a clue about football.
Maybe not so controversial for those that enter match threads.
I agree and so did a lot of others my age.I remember thinking Brown was the better of the Hibs pair and being annoyed we never got him.

What are you taking about? Unadulterated pish.I never got Ian Ferguson. Hard worker aye, a true Ranger and a fancy goal in a cup final. But seemed injured a lot and i always felt we had better players than him.
Arguably yes, but I think people could see what was to come from Riordan. To be a Premier league or top Division player and to be banned out of a city’s nightclubs takes some doing.Riordan was arguably the most talented of that group of Hibs players.
Belting out 'No Surrender' during it certainly is.Singing god save the queen on 85 minutes is cringeworthy
It kills the atmosphere.Singing god save the queen on 85 minutes is cringeworthy
Van Vossen was a good player and if he'd stayed longer would have been remembered more favourably.
Controversial you say..
I think McInnes given the same budget and time would have won more than Gerrard.
It’s up their with the badge of pride at watching nothing except Rangers games as if it makes them in some way superior.I find the fact folk revel in their lack of knowledge about wider football, utterly bizarre.
Jermaine Defoe's goal against Livingston last year was the best goal I have ever seen by a rangers player.
Amazing goal but not the best ever.Jermaine Defoe's goal against Livingston last year was the best goal I have ever seen by a rangers player.
It’s not that he wasn’t rated, it was that his game wasn’t required against the low level of opposition we had week to week in our domestic game.Hemdani was one of the classiest players I have ever seen play for us. People who don’t rate him should take up another sport.
Nah I disagree. You play a player like Hemdani and the rest of the players can have way more freedom to bomb forward in the knowledge that Hemdani can sweep up any counter attacks. It’s not that he wasn’t rated, it was that his game wasn’t required against the low level of opposition we had week to week in our domestic game.
True.World class shot stopper - yes
Rangers legend - yes
World class goalkeeper - sadly not
With the team we had then, we should have been making the quarters/semis of the CL in my opinion. We didn't even make it out the group under Advocaat.Mine will always be that Dick Advocaat was an utter failure with us. Spent big money on cracking players only to bomb constantly in Europe and collapsed when Celtic got their act together and brought in a decent manager and spent big on decent players.
Said the exact same thing on post 335 mate. Totally unprofessional. I'd even argue that attitude filtered through into the St Johnstone cup game. Was almost as if the result was swept under the carpet by Gerrard.Another one but might have already been mentioned.
That piss up in the dressing room before the Slavia Prague match was totally inappropriate. We really could have beaten Slavia. Had we done so we’d have had a best of Britain clash against Arsenal. Had we beaten Arsenal just imagine the scenes.
I’m not saying that the piss up was the reason we went out but you could see after ten minutes in Prague our players were off it. Still can’t believe Gerrard allowed and partook in those celebrations which could have waited.

That's offensive.Davie Weir was shite
I’m not going to say he was shite, because that’s not true.Davie Weir was shite
NoDavie Weir was shite
It wasn’t even the best goal we scored last season
Amazing goal but not the best ever.
Would have been a brilliant signing, instead we over pay for Flo.Harston would have been a brilliant signing for us.
