The striker - who has 10 goals this season - agreed a pre-contract with United earlier this month ahead of a move in the summer.
But Watt will now make the switch in the current transfer window after a fee was agreed between Dundee United and Motherwell.

Maybe their recruitment team has spotted something that is worth the investment. Hickey has turned out to be a decent signing for them despite many on here, myself included, doubting whether he was good enough for Serie A.
