Rangers & Frankfurt- the future

Now I know we as a fanbase aren't ones to seek "speshal relationships" however; in view of the fact that both clubs seem to have a healthy respect for each other and our respective support if there's an opportunity to capitalise on this in terms of player trading, friendlies etc? The advert they took out in the Scottish press post UEL final was class and something we'd like to think Rangers would have done had the boot been on the other foot.
Would any such tie in have a negative effect on the Hamburg relationship?
Thoughts?
 
Heard Stewart Robertson is shooting a porno with some of the Frankfurt directors, going to be sold for about £30 but gets you 100 mygers points.

Both fans groups have decided to do a joint Tifo of the cumshot during a yet to be announced friendly.

Hamburg ultras are absolutely raging about it though. They thought we were best mates and Robertson has gone behind their back and ruined our special relationship.

I get that- what I was referring to was more club to club as opposed to support.

This. Once the minds all settle down we will look back on 2022 fondly. It may even be the last time many of us see our team in a European final. These things can’t be under estimated or underplayed.
 
Just to be clear- I'm not suggesting we should. It's a simple observation based on a couple of factors that I've chosen to seek views from Bears on a fans forum.

We go on about this special relationship with linfield, I know piles of rangers fans who hate linfield, who support coleraine glens, crues ballymena etc.

This shit of blues brothers with Chelsea. I know plenty of rangers men who support Man Utd liverpool etc.

Nothing about being staunch or whatever. Just hate all the bullshit links. Everyone entitled to support who they want in different leagues but no need to force the so called links with other clubs

That’s it for me also.

We get that used to all of the hatred, bickering and hostility the rest of Scotland treats us with, that when we come up against Frankfurt who essentially just acted like a normal team that we’re good sports it feels like they’re going over and above.

Don't need a special relationship as such with anyone, but we should be seen to develop a mutual competitive respect with fans of Frankfurt and the like.

Proper European teams with proper passionate supports who back their team while being respectful of us.

AOT those who are just there to have a better-than-sex day when their 'team' get a 1-1 draw at home to us and spend 90 minutes singing about us not being Rangers any more.
 
I don't care about them at all. They outsung us and won their 2nd European trophy at our expense. We don't need football friends.

Feels like the folk wanting to be their mates are the same folk who posted that rotten "I just can't hate Ange, he's a lovely guy" shite that was rife on here earlier in the season.
 
Nah, not for me. Good, sporting and worthy opponents but that's what sport should be. Why does it need to be celebrated?

Having said that I'd love a crack at them in the CL next year.

Sad for the older bears who may as you say never see our team in a European final again. I'm 35 however and expect to see us in at least 2 more before I check out.

You never know the minute mate. Don’t bank on it is all I’ll say to you. You are approaching the back 9 already and believe me it goes in a lot quicker down the stretch.

I am not sure, but there was a similar thread on their forums the other day and many said no because of our Hamburg relationship. Don't know if it's a specific rivalry or they just hate most German teams.
 
I don't think our fan base needs to develop any sort of relationship with Frankfurt but hopefully we do at boardroom level with these clubs. Might help us get the odd quality player or two in the future
