Persistant Standing

Some plumbag was behind me at Paul McCartney's gig at the Hydro a couple of years back. Me and the missus sat down for almost the entire gig but the folk around us all jumped up for Octopus' Garden. I noticed he was sat down for it so said sorry insincerely.

Then he played Hey Jude a bit later and he was the only moron in the whole place still sat on their seat. Halfway through it he shoves me pretty hard on the back and I called security over. By this point the missus is screaming at him and she gets taken away by the security I'd just called. She eventually got the true story out and we watched the gig from the top of the stairwell after he got flung out. They felt it was unsafe for us to go back to the seat :D

Not sure why this is relevant to the thread but it triggered a memory :D

Just hacked into the Burnley records to find out who was banned.

Apparently it was a Mr S. O'Neal and a Mr K. Abdul-Jabbar

The people in the 10 rows behind complained :))

And that’s why every ground will have safe standing soon.

Except us
Still doesn't excuse some of our fans to be so inconsiderate to their fellow fans, should take it out on the club not fellow fans who just like themselves pay good money to be able to watch a game of football. This is aimed at the moronic ones who stand ALL game blocking others views and couldn't give a shite what other people think.

I get what you say and can't understand why Rangers wont even think about entertaining safe standing, doesn't make sense.

BF5 used to be a sitting section till the last season or 2. Now even the smaller games against the likes of ross county/st mirren everyone stands.

Don't mind it for big games at all, but I wish it would go back to sitting. Too many do it for me to even bother asking.

Near 50k getting banned at Ibrox soon then.
European nights have become all standing and I love it. My knees and back don't the next day but phuck it, you only live once and European nights at Ibrox have become like a drug.
I’m in CD and yes there are moments when we rise to our feet but for the vast majority of the game people do sit.

It's a pain in the arse when your small and everyone is standing couldn't see anything down the other side of the pitch last week need to take a few yellow pages to stand on next time :)

Me and the mate are nearer 70 yoa than 60 and after the walk from the Supporters Bus (normally parked near Kinning Park Louden), we now look forwards to our "Seats".

PS; We 100% agree with a Standing Section and hope that those currently in front of us, do also.

Its out of order, people just don’t care if you see the game or not.

There was a guy in CD4 last night who, after sitting since the start of the game, stood up when we got a corner in the first half. He got asked to sit down so folk behind him could see. He never took it well.

Got to point out that we are in the premium seating (halfway line, low club deck) and don't take kindly to riff raff infiltrating on Euro nights :)) we like to sit while eating our prawn sandwiches. Ofcourse, I'm joking I wouldn't mind standing myself but the full section sits and the one walloper decides to stand and blocks folks view
If he wanted to stand he should have been escorted to the top of the stairs of CD4. There’s a couple of seats up there where you can relive the Ramon Sanchez-Pizuan experience.

Even if we were to get a safe standing section guarantee other areas in the stadium folk would stand anyway

I'm not going lie... I think that was the boy a gave my ticket to so I apologise , he is used to sitting in bf1 etc I received a text while on nightshift saying that everyone is asking me to sit down, never again!!! I did ask was anyone else standing? If not then sit on yer arse. Don't worry he's on the banned list for the ticket lol

Standing in front of people can cause rows and I think some people do it deliberately to prove a point but people pay for a seat and deserve a seats view of the game,my opinion

I struggled last night. I had plantar fasciitis a few years ago and it popped up from nowhere last night. Horrendous.

Weirdly, when we scored I couldn’t feel it :D

Safe standing please rangers. Remember it was being considered….
That's what Goldson had for their second goal!

Tendonitis in my achilles and it was fucking agony in the second half. Ah well.

been trying to get a move away from BF4 for the last couple of seasons because I can’t stand for the whole game, so I need to sit at times and miss part of the action. It’s worse now because the UB are encouraging it, although I understand why.

I wish the club would bring in safe standing for the BF for the very reason that I could move away to the GR or something where there’s really no standing during games.

The full stand was doing the same.
Don't matter it would only take the club to pick some and the persistent standing will stop, safe standing areas should be a priority by the club ,until then persistent offenders should at least lose there rights for some time.

No worries mate. Sitting in BF1? I know what you mean, after a few guys told him to zip it and sit back down he never utter another word

Aye he's normally in amongst all that. If it was row L then it was him. As I said he's been vacated from the ticket list lol.

To be fair it looked from the Clubdeck that the rear sections of the stands were sitting - def the Copland and Govan rears plus the main stand and Clubdeck itself.

Front sections all round seemed to stand all game.

I’m old enough to still have pride in Ibrox being “all seated” v the uncivilised in the East who were on terraces.

Your asking a disabled person to move?

Im not asking anyone to move but if you cant see because of someone blocking your view its nice to have an option.

Seeing as how you're trying hard to missunderstand my point, let me pass it back to you in similar style.

Are you suggesting disabled people aren't able to move?
