Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.....Would he have been good for us if we had signed him?
He’s dogshit and has literally not interest in football.
See also Niko Kranjcar, Russel Martin, Senderos etc.
That’s midnight expressHe'll go to Turkey and never be heard of again
Mourinho sussed him out and tried to get a response from him but he’s basically not got the attitude or desire to be a top player.
Since going to Everton for 40m he’s started 1 league game. That’s mental.
He was a good footballer and potentially a very good one with application and coaching.
He just wasn’t the £200 million English future World Cup winning superstar he was made out to be.
He won’t be the last.
I think there’s more to it than simply just not being as advertised because to be fair he was a breakout player and for a time showed real ability on an upward scale.Dele Alli would be high maintenance both on but particularly off the park so it’s a definite no for me on this one.
No matter what they paid for him it was too much. They didn't pay £40m for him. The deal was that they got him at a low price with further payments up to £40m based on appearances and I think other achievements which he'll never meet.
"If Dele went back to Nigeria now it would be crazy. He would have a presidential welcome wherever he goes.
Everybody watches him play and is proud of him. It opens ever door for him being a prince. He can talk to our prime minister and the president if he wants to."
"Dele being a prince in Nigeria is absolutely massive. It would give him a lot of respect if he returned to live here and maybe one day he could be King of the Yoruba tribe. It means a lot of houses, cars and enormous wealth."
Isis ?He'll go to Turkey and never be heard of again
The new Franny Jeffers...
We demand players who would die for a shirt and have a strong mentality.
Ali has no real interest in anybody or anything but himself.
He was among the first young Englishmen paid so much that he no longer had any reason to worry about football.
A bit like his Welsh counterparts Gareth Bale and our old friend Aaron Ramsey.
At least they love the glory of playing for the country and will do what they can to get fit for that.
Ali was not even interested in performing at a level that would keep him in the England set up.
The only certainty about Tottenham this year under Conte was that Dele Alli would not be part of the set up.
100k a week might rule us out for a start. That and he’s a prick that doesn’t want to learn or work.Would he have been good for us if we had signed him?
