Rangers being sued for £9.5m by Elite Sports (Hummel brand partner in UK)

We were made to by the decision in the English Court.

It was found we entered the contract with Elite in breach of our contract with SD.
And are they now saying we entered the contract with castore in breach of the contract with Elite absolutely never ending this

Never known a club like us to be in constant legal wrangles with kit manufacturers etc. I know Sport Direct etc etc but still, incredibly frustrating plus we've enough to worry about.

What the folk is happening with this board? Let's hope at this AGM we will find out the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.as all good courtrooms would state.we should all vote against and not for?? And get shot of them all too.

We are being sued, we’ve not lost and we’ve not been ordered to pay anything.

Significant numbers on here are defaulting to the worst case scenario

Honestly to fvck. Are the board complete amateurs? It's one thing after the other for years
Between those that have sat on our board in recent years, they’ve cost the club a fecking fortune

Easily over £10m in SD litigation / settlement
£1m memorial wall
Whatever it’ll cost us for the Oz friendly fiasco
£2.5m lost income from Elite / Hummel
£9.5m from Hummel now

And yet not one of them has lost their positions on the board through force

Utter disgrace

We are world beaters at financial headlines and f@ck ups

No other club anywhere sees the shambles we do

I do not care about this. Court cases go on in business around contracts if the thousands every day.
If there is a concrete ruling in a few years that says we actually have to pay a number like this I may be slightly interested in that.

Papers just report this stuff to sell copy. Who really gives a %^*&?

We need to change legal teams as the current ones are dreadful.
My Cousin Vinny would do better, one balls up after another.

This AGM can’t come quick enough to question this board, this past year or so has been a calamity for them, they need to move on now but you just know the new manager will come in and the fans will be thrown a few soundbites to appease us, it’s moonbeams part two.

A record year for money coming into the club but no wonder we have no money to spend on new players when we have amatuers in charge of contracts costing us millions upon millions of pounds…most of which the fans have paid.

It's a bit strange though is not? The day this comes out.
If they are in severe financial difficulties they will be going after every available means of securing additional income.

Dont really think there is anything strange in the timing as they are following on from the ruling on the Ashley case where we were found to have not followed the correct process, which in turn the subsequent ongoing legal action prevented us from fufilling the contract.

They now have an easier case to make for loss of earnings based on Ashleys win

Well we haven’t come out smelling of roses with the last couple, so why should this one be any different?
We are run by amateurs.

Did Blair buy his legal qualifications online! ( joke)

How much have these legal "mishaps" cost the club in legal costs? We have people on the board that have been in charge of businesses but still these disasters keep happening!

Can’t wait to see us rebuild the team with free transfers and loans because that is the direction we are going

The judge must have thought there was enough merit to the claim to tell us to disclose the figures

I knew that smart arse.
Mentioned nothing about said company in admin in the sun article in op.

I remember vividly the day King told us we were rid of the fat man and we could all go and buy merch to the benefit of the club. Since then and thanks to King and his ego, we have paid out 10’s of £millions in litigation, and that includes a fine for fuckimg our own fans over.

Playing corporate lawyer, grandstanding and feeding his own ego has cost us a fortune. It’s not his money to lose either, it’s ours.

Perhaps King would like to spend an hour with his pals at the Dr and explain this one?

Fuckin sick of this,
I’m genuinely questioning why, as a working class man, I drop a couple of thousand £’s a year following this club while King, Park, C1972 and the rest of the arsholes and incompetents connected to our club continue to show staggering levels of stupidity.

These people have done more damage to our club in the last few years than the SFA, SPFL, media, SNP could ever hope to achieve.

Such an agreement wouldn't be lawful if it was covering illegal activity, no?
Whilst not legally binding (if our ace legal team successfully made that case) as you say, it’d be hard for the folk who signed that agreement to renege on it knowing it would then be the first part of the defendant’s case.

At the moment we will struggle getting any money from european football next season , we have sold all saleable assets.
Financially we had massive problems going forward.
The net needs cast to see if we can get one or more large investor, with no baggage.
Its looking like King , Park etc need to start looking at a serious buyer.
They cant run a club.

So having had a wee look at timeliness etc.

So in 2016 King said that the club had given notice to sever ties with Sports Direct and had paid back £5m loan to get our trademarks etc back.

We ended up with Hummel and Elite and somehow had to pay off Sports Direct for £3m to get out of his deal. King made it clear again we were clear of Ashley and to continue buying strips etc. So the fans done this and in 2019 we were taken to court by sport direct as we hadn't given them an opportunity to match the deal we had with Hummel/Elite.

We lost this case and had to pay another £960k to Sports Direct and were told we couldn't continue with the Hummel/Elite deal.

So upto that point we had achieved £2.8m in sales which Hummel/Elite refused to pay us. We then had to find new shirt manufacturers for the 2020/21 season.

We signed with Castore (Believing we were free of Sports Direct) and at the same time started court proceedings to claim back the £2.8m. That went to court and we lost that one aswell as the court decided we shouldn't have been In that contract. So we couldn't claim the money.

Fast forward to the recent court case that went against us again with Sports Direct. It was claimed again we didnt give sports Direct an option to match our Castore deal and we lost again and had to pay them something like £8m.

Now today comes the news that Hummel/Elite are actually suing us for loss of sales even though a court ordered us not to continue with the deal. The deal with them was for £10m. They managed to keep £2.8m from a deal that the court said should be ripped up. But still went in their actual favour and we lost our the fans money.

Now if we were unable to use Hummel/Elite from 2020/21 onward how can they sue us when we didnt have a contract for those years and infact the 3 year deal due to run out in 2021. They are actually trying to claim money from the last 2 year Castore Deal. This is confusing..

Why back in 2016 and 2019 was it quite clearly said to us by King that we were clear of Ashley.

Just the usual chicken licken stuff. After Gio got sacked there were hordes then jumping on a bandwagon that it’s 100% all the players fault. Many just love the doom.

Undoubtedly this board are clearly cleaner and better than the spivs who they replaced, thats beyond question

However I did think we would be past all this soap opera drama when they replaced those charlatans

It’s a continuous pantomime at our club no matter what time of year it is
Clearer and cleaner yes, but just as incompetent, think there should be transparency from the board about who was directly involved in these deals, as all you heard when the spivs were in charge was that they had a fiduciary duty to the club, but with court case after court case brought upon us by the current board then is this level of incompetence acting in our best interests?
