And not blowing out their arse. This can only be good for the squad in re-energising and getting players back to fitness. I feel for the fans that have travelled, piss poor that a top flight club can’t drain the pitch, or at least cover it when the weather is predicted to be bad.The game being off has both positives and negatives.
Would've been a bonus to get this game played, as not to have a midweek week fixture coming up.
Bonus is that we'll have more player's back when it does go ahead.
It’s utterly shite for the travelling support but I agree with you.Probably a blessing dispite how disappointing
Once Liewell works out the best permutation for Celtic he will let spfl know most suitable date. Then we will be told.Any chance this gets played midweek?
It’s amateur hour at Dundee, it really is, don’t blame Phil for being annoyedClement making it clear he is not happy and that rhe club were not even i formed. Cnuts
Excellent pointThat pitch did not get in that state overnight, surely Rangers and the SPFL/SFA should have been advised yesterday and an inspection made.
Once again the ordinary fan is treated with contempt by the authorities.
I wonder, is Tannadice is in the same condition? Only 100 yards down the street!
It'll be played the midweek before the septic fixture , big Liewell will make sure of that.Once Liewell works out the best permutation for Celtic he will let spfl know most suitable date. Then we will be told.
The only game in every Scottish division called off due to this “heavy rain”.
Clement again referring back to the fact this is the Premiership and you expect the best pitches. The game here needs to buck up its ideas, the standards outwith ourselves, them, Motherwell, Hearts and Hibs are appalling. Every other park in the top flight is either a mud field or plastic.
Think it will have to be played before the split. So either that midweek are the midweek after. It'll be played the midweek before the septic fixture , big Liewell will make sure of that.
So he knew the game was in doubt at 5am this morning but never contacted Rangers. Just called himself out right there. From BBC website:
Nelms (John Nelms, Dundee FC Chief Executive)told BBC Scotland: "We were supposed to get 6mm of rain overnight and we got 12. The groundsmen have been out here since 05:00 and we just ran out of time. If we had a three o'clock match, the pitch would probably be playable."
Games are sometimes delayed for all sorts of reasons (Chelsea v Arsenal womens match was delayed on Friday night because Arsenal had to go buy replacement socks from Chelsea store!), so could this not have been played later today?
It’s a jokeAfter a gruelling game only three days ago they would have had to endure further training sessions to prepare for this game. For a team to then be so incapable in maintaining their ground for a standard level of rain is abysmal.
Going forward rules should be clear in respect to this situations with a 3-0 loss as a punishment. If there was a weather warning type situation then it’s understandable but it was just a night of rain.
Yes, was it not something to do with the amount of games that have had to be called off due to the pitch?Didn't Dundee suspend their groundsmen recently? No surprise its off, the pitch will be zero priority for these clubs who will see it as an easy cost saving to reduce grounds team, don't switch on undesoil heating and don't have proper drainage in place/maintained.
They've got a shit pitch and already had 3 postponements - why didn't they consider covering the pitch overnight? Should be fined by the league at the very least. From BBC website:

No pride in their pitch mate, they’re an embarrassment.Do teams not have covers on pitches any more? Id have thought that Dundee, especially, given the pitch's history for being waterlogged, would have covers available to roll out for periods of sustained rain?
Not much they could do,it was pissing down heavily most of the day and into the night, hammering down constantly. It’s amateur hour at Dundee, it really is, don’t blame Phil for being annoyed

Behave mate. This has got Liewell written all over it,did that pitch have mud patches yesterday.
Did he get a team of lackeys to rip out the grass? Have a word with yourself. This has got Liewell written all over it,did that pitch have mud patches yesterday.
OKOh give it a rest mate.
Hopefully midweek afterThink it will have to be played before the split. So either that midweek are the midweek after.

It's the very reason they should be docked points and fined. It's not acceptable and shows how pathetic and weak the league is that they'll get off with nothing other than a re-arranged game.4 games postponed out of 14 home games
Ridiculous
