Apparently there’s a statement about to come out on this. Sun reporting it below:

It'll be some shit about officials being attacked and not respected and clubs creating a hostile environment and he won't stand by and accept it any more. We'll get a media push to protect the protectors (we all know who they're protecting) and this will set an agenda for 'reform', including a campaign to get rid of VAR.

“We must work together to alleviate the unsustainable pressure on match officials and VAR operators, to remove the convenient blame culture attached to subjective or unpopular decisions, and to ensure more focus is placed on the entertainers rather than the on-field facilitators.

Stop ‘facilitating’ a loaded game shambles and there’s less focus on it. Cause and effect.

Accompanied by a picture of a Rangers player shouting at a ref

that turd Maxwell: "it has been essential for Scottish football to remain at the forefront of on-field technology"

FFS the Thai league and others had VAR before us - & probably had more than our six cameras

more self-congratulatory guff and deflecting away from the core problem of the SFA backing their team and their team only

An insightful statement:

“Whilst there is a recognition that, globally, the VAR processes need to improve...."

We accept we're not very good.

"This includes all key external stakeholders having a better understanding of the Laws of the Game, the lines of intervention for VAR, and the adopted guidance within Scottish football, especially in subjective areas such as the handball law."

But you guys don't even know the rules!

“We must work together to alleviate the unsustainable pressure on match officials and VAR operators, to remove the convenient blame culture attached to subjective or unpopular decisions..."

Stop pulling us up on our cockups!

Crawford Allan: “While there are refinements and improvements to be made to VAR"

We accept we're still not getting it right even after all this time.

“VAR is only one aspect of the role, albeit one that can overshadow the positive strides we have taken forward."

Our feckups with VAR are making us look fkn terrible.

Being serious it should be someone coming in from outside Scottish football that gets it and overhauls the officiating in this country.
There’s absolutely zero chance of it happening though.
Collum must be near retiring - what’s the odds he gets “moved upstairs”?

He’s a useless prick anyway so no loss to the game

However who do they replace him with ?

No doubt someone who is also as useless and allowing the peasants to get preferential treatment in lack of yellow cards, more pens for and let’s face it is it one penalty conceded all season in Scotland ?

That would be peak Scottish football, I bet you if clubs were asked to vote they would scrap it tomorrow.
This is honestly something I don't get, VAR gets more right than it does wrong and at the end of the day it is still being operated by humans.

My main change to how VAR is used is to stop finding things to disallow goals for. Use it for what it was intended for, clear and obvious errors, not to check if someone was a millimeter offside

Of course he is, another nobody given a job in our game and a surprise to no one he had selective amnesia when it came to decisions of importance to all teams, a coward going and no doubt be replaced by a hand picked t@ig lickspittle

VAR wont be scrapped, no chance.
People talk about this all the time

Simple really that it's here to stay under fifa and uefa.

If the sfa want to make money and be paid by then they need to send refs to referee their competitions. The requirement is that the referees come from a league with var in operation.

When offsides become automated which already on trial that will also be a requirement.

We may not fully agree with var decisions at times but it's not going away.

And so it should remain, just look this season and the penalties we would have been denied to show it most certainly needs to stay , i really don't see what posters on here are missing, VAR isnt the problem, its the implimentation and its governance that is being compromised

Lawwell will be right on the phone for his replacement

If any of you think the SFA will have the vision to bring in a professional from outwith Scotland that might increase transparency and drive performance improvements, I've some magic beans to sell you

White smoke will rise from the offices at Hampden once the SFA have chosen their new papal candidate.

Absurd eh
“The forefront of On Field technology”

Fucking LOL
they were dragged kicking n screaming into the 21st Century and culturally oppose all transparency & openness anyone requests . Progress is a four letter word at sfa / spl .

The most Conservative organisation outside of the Vatican
