He’s caught completely off balance by the ricochet, probably because he was readying himself for a back pass.

He is absolutely faultless there.

Third goal he might have done better, but it was a well hit shot close to his body and he was slightly unsighted.

He filled his goal well for Maeda’s shot from the angle and produced a world class save from O’Riley’s header.

He also dealt well with getting pressed quickly after receiving a few hospital ball pass backs.

Matt Turner has 39 caps for USA, so we can probably rule him out. Anyone slating Butlands mistakes has to remember his first choice did this in the last international;
