Today's Press Conference. 1pm

I thought Jack's form had dipped in the last 2 or 3 games.
Possibly from so many back-to-back games or maybe he was already carrying a slight knock.

Great that Coulibaly is back. Think he is actually a step up from Jack, especially in a game where we’llbe attacking. I think only one of them plays in attacking games in our strongest 11.

Good to hear Grezda is so close. Thought he was further off from H&H. No chance he’ll start and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not even getting on from the bench but might see a late cameo if the game is won.

Really looking forward to the match.

Steven Gerrard confirms Lassana Coulibaly returns for Rangers tomorrow vs Dundee but Ryan Jack and Gareth McAuley (both calf) both miss out. New signing Eros Gredza might feature off bench. Rossiter and Dorrans progressing well but still not ready to return

Coulibaly and Jack should be our 2 in Midfield, 1 ahead and 2 wide.

I’ve seen lots of folks line teams up like this and really don’t understand why. This is not the formation we play. We are no longer doing 4,2,3,1. We are using 4,3,4. Our 3 midfielders are all expected to play relatively flat and cover box to box. Some specialise more defensively (Jack and McCrorie) while Arfield and Ejaria specialise more offensively and Coulibaly is probably the most complete box to box. But all are expected to act in defensive and offensive areas.

We don’t play with designated defensive mids any more.

Think we could get in to trouble for playing a 4-3-4

Wait till the media find out Stevie G is playing 1 extra :)

Looks like they are going to be giving the Gaffer a hard time.

Charles Patterson has just been on Sky Sports stating that they will be bringing up McGregor not being sent off (and no doubt Morelos red card being rescinded), Stevie Clark being cited for comments about ref's (and the Gaffer not being cited) and our poor start to the league campaign (5 points out of 12).

Hopefully he will be ready for them and ask how many people were injured when McGregor and Morelos kicked-out, compared to how many people were injured when Bowman done Cardoso, Kipre done Jack, Allan done Rossiter, May done Jack and McGinn done Coulibaly….. 5 incidents where our players were unable to finish a game and missed further matches due to tackles that never received a red card.

Don't miss them Gaffer.
Precisely. Until we name and shame and take the fight to our opponents, we will continue to be targeted both by the authorities and hatchet men.

Put Paterson in his place well there.

Good to hear his honest assessment of the tims game too. Not about fatigue, they got it wrong and played poorly. Learn and do better next time.

Patterson was destroyed by Gerrard, although I do wish he had highlighted the fouls against us that have put our players out, yet gone unpunished. By stonewalling the question it will come across as inconsistent when we next have a grievance about referees that needs aired.
