At least shitey sean got himself cuffed to the posts, mentally challenged prick.

I remember the stupid solo pitch invader.

What objects got thrown?
Be the paper from the dispays.

Stop the displays on euro nights or use material that cant be tunrt into paper planes or scunched up and thrown.

Empty bottle of beer thrown which struck a copper as the aforementioned idiot was being escorted around the track. Both boys pled guilty last week, which may mitigate things.

Rangers Fan Admits Assaulting Cop By Launching Bottle At Him During Europa League Clash Against Villarreal by Ashlie McAnally, 30th Nov 2018

A Rangers fan has admitted running on to the pitch during the Europa League football match against Villarreal. Paul Cairney, 26, pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court today when he appeared from custody.

He admitted conducting himself in a disorderly manner at Ibrox Stadium on November 29, leaving his seat in the stand entering the pitch and breaching the peace. The invasion will be included in the referee's match report and it could see the Ibrox side face Uefa punishment.

Cairney, from Livingston, West Lothian was represented by defence lawyer Amy Hunter and sentence was deferred until December. A narrative of the facts will be heard then.

Fellow-football fan Nicholas Walker, 20, also admitted assaulting police officer Gary Montgomerie at the match, that ended goal-less. He pled guilty to throwing a glass bottle from the crowd, that narrowly missed PC Montgomerie.

The court heard that while police were removing Cairney from the pitch, items were thrown by fans. Walker, from Airdrie, North Lanarkshire - also represented by Miss Hunter - was spotted on CCTV throwing the bottle.

He was stopped by police as he was leaving the stadium and admitted "That was stupid". The court heard he apologised for his actions.

As much as the guy was an idiot, throwing a cup of coffee is almost as bad. People could have been scalded. What a clown.
Indeed mate, I looked at the tone of my post and didn't mean it to be 'thats was all'
It was meant as thats all I saw but it was dodgy it hit the advertising boards that came from SJ btw

the bloke that invaded the pitch get met by a flurry of coke cups as he was escorted around the pitch
Nearly landing on the back of the head of the fourth official and all round the cops taking the prick out.

Anyone throwing anything should be chucked out for a year

Doh

I have made my thoughts abundantly clear on these 'fans'. But I do find it somewhat disturbing that the younger guy is getting done with assault for throwing a bottle which didn't even hit anyone. Assault is a serious, serious charge to have on your record. By his words and actions he clearly had a momentary fit of rage at someone who was flagrantly hurting his club and made a split second decision, not that I'm defending the throwing of the bottle I might add. But instantly he's apologised, admitted the stupidity and harmfulness of his actions and has shown nothing but remorse. I don't think an assault charge is necessary.

Not often I disagree with you mate, but if he threw a bottle, I have no sympathy for him.

Could’ve hit a wee kid, or a pensioner. I’ve been hit twice over the years, but I was lucky it never really hurt me.

I was in gw corner and a lot of cups of juice were thrown when the guy ran onto the park, most of which made it 5 yards and just hit folk standing there... Dont know what’s more thick, running into the park and doing a winston in front of the camera, or trying to hit the pitchside with a cup from Govan Rear.
Some arsehole either in gw corner or the end of broomy nearly hit carzola with a coin too.

Assault doesn’t have to be physical.

I could see the guys face as he was dragged out. Looked like he regretted it soon as he done it, hence why he froze on the pitch. He'll probably never be back at Ibrox.

Lucky for him none of the pies connected. Would have been like being hit with a brick smeared with CJD.

Some see him as a stupid boy that made a mistake - for me, he'd be as well being an enemy of our club. Not welcome back!

Yup, I'd ban him sin die and send a message out.

I'd be chasing him for the fine we're due too.

"Aye, but he's no' usually like that. He hud a drink in him"

He's still an arsehole.

Guys should both be banned and no appeal considered until they have personally reimbursed the Club for whatever fine they incur.

Club should donate such money to a local charity

You can throw a punch at someone, miss, and its still assault.

It's no different throwing an object.

Paul Cairney sounds like a poet name . Personally I’d make him stand outside Ibrox with a sign saying “ IM THE SCUM WHO HAS COST THE CLUB MONEY. Fans can throw objects at him . We could charge £2 a throw and give the proceeds to charity or pay the fine for the club
