Parkhead pitch

BRENDAN RODGERS has revealed there's a DISEASE rotting Celtic's £1.5million pitch.
The Hoops ripped up their surface in the summer after splashing out on a new hi-tech hybrid one.

Brendan Rodgers wanted a new pitch to improve the standard of football at Celtic Park
But the grass has looked in poor condition over the last few months, with Rodgers confirming there is an ongoing problem.

He said: "There’s a disease in the surface so it's unfortunate really.

"We have a great team of ground staff and the guys are working very hard to make that right."

More excuses coming out now for when they slip up at home and the surface wasn't slick enough

It did look bad from the highlights the other night though.

Think he meant " There is a disease UNDER the surface
Don't worry Brenda that disease is gonna be sorted in the next few weeks

Hope the bulbs go on their new lights too and make their summer spending on upgraded equipment a complete east of time.

Watching the Scottish Cup highlights on Sat that is the first time I have seen the pitch since the Sept game, it really is in a poor state.

Due to everything they sweep under the carpet, its now spreading to the pitch, hell mend them

Destroyed by the anguish of young men and boys dreams, of having recognition and dreams of being football players, dreams of making their parents and siblings proud, only to have them destroyed by people in trust people in hassocks pretending to be holy. Being lied to ,having parents who believed the club has to be protected at the expense of all else. Even the grass has had enough.

This guy is working his ticket.

You can’t imagine the well drilled PR machine will be happy with this terminology.

He won’t be here for very long IMO. He launched a very public, and very obvious appeal for funds early Jan, and has f.uck all so far.

They are crumbling, and he is not going to be hanging around for 55.

Thankfully they haven't realised yet that Jimmy Bell, before the game against them at Celtic Park was digging up small areas of their pitch and patching them with squares of turf containing the plant pathogenic fungus Rhizoctonia solani.

Jimmy knew that the fungal pathogens in the soil would spread and infect the turf across the rest of the pitch like wildfire and the Celtic groundstaff would only be able to identify the problem when it was too late to do anything about it.

Heard this too mate.

Heard this too mate.

It's crazy how long people in Scottish Football have believed that Jimmy Bell is simply a kit man, he's been helping us get the edge over our opponents with a wide array of devious schemes and ploys for years now. Tampering with Celtic's pre match drinks and snacks before the last old firm game was only the tip of the ice berg.

In Scotland the grass is either too long or diseased for poor Brenda.Weird thing is they got to play on a perfect surface last month and didn't even get a kick at the ball
