Petition Requesting Clare Whyte Resign From Her Role As Compliance Officer

Some good comments on there also...

The role of Compliance Officer goes beyond FIFA's Laws of The Game, which state that a referee's decision is final. Ms Whyte has decided to pick and choose to re-referee certain games after they have concluded, apparently using BBC Sportscene as a point of reference. BBC Scotland has clearly shown an anti-Rangers FC bias for a long period of time and Ms Whyte has followed onto this, by holding Rangers FC players to a different standard to others and continuing this bias. Two incidents at the weekend highlight the anti-Rangers FC bias shown by both BBC Sportscene and Ms Whyte: BBC Sportscene discussed and showed repeated replays of an alleged off the ball elbow on an opponent by Rangers FC player Jon Flanagan, which occurred whilst the ball was out of play and was both seen and dealt with by the referee, who decided that a yellow card was sufficient punishment. Celtic FC player Jozo Simunovic also allegedly elbowed an opponent in the 27th minute which was not subject of any discussion by BBC Sportscene, did not get replayed and has been completely ignored by Ms Whyte. I find this both surprising and concerning, as it occurred whilst the ball was in play, spoiled a promising attack, clearly endangered an opponent and was apparently missed by match officials, so perfectly fits the criteria of the sort of incident that the role of Compliance Officer was created to deal with. One then has to ask why Ms Whyte has chosen to refer the alleged elbow by Rangers FC player Flanagan, but not to refer the alleged elbow by Celtic FC player Simunovic. There would appear to be only 4 options: 1. She has a clear bias against Rangers FC, 2. She has a clear bias in favour of Celtic FC, 3. She is incompetent and not fit for purpose, 4. She is dictated to by what is shown by BBC Sportscene, or more likely all 4 of the afore mentioned choices. For the good of the game, this cannot be allowed to continue. Ms Whyte should resign immediately and the role either disbanded or completely reconfigured, with an ex-referee who will show neutrality being put in place, preferably from outside Scotland.

As proven in all walks of life, yahoos in the workplace often put their allegiances before their professional duties, and this one is no exception.

Three compliance officers since it's inception, all three yahoos. That is blatantly corrupt. Not only has that boot got to go, the position itself, the whole trial by TV sham .... they need to be eradicated from the game if we've any chance of competing on a level playing field.

Press Association Sport understands Jozo Simunovic was also referred to the same SFA three-man panel of ex-referees following the off-the-ball incident with Jermain Defoe but there was not unanimous agreement that it constituted a red card offence

So it actually looks like Whyte done her job (for once) and the rest of the system let us down

Perfect comment by whoever posted that one.

She is totally unfit to do the job and the undue influence being brought to bear on her by the serial and acknowledged Rangers haters, BBC Scotland, would be an untenable position in any walk of life.

Whilst both those circumstances continue, she should be sacked and the role entirely binned

I don't think their player was referred at all. I think that was the SFA trying to cover their arses when they were dug up in that Rangers statement for citing our player but not theirs.

We never heard about their player being cited until after the Rangers statement, very convenient.

Let's face it, we are dealing with a shower of lying, corrupt bastards here.

Done.

She's an agenda driven puppet and shamefully there seems to be a conveyor belt of them in many positions within our fecked up country/game.

The CO role itself is completely at odds with the laws (written and unwritten) of the game and just adds to the tinpot, cartoon nature of our game.

Planet football has and is agonising over VAR as it fundamentally changes the way our game is officiated - It means no longer do we have one point of authority on game changing decisions.

Well, the SFA have back-doored a system where incidents can be taken at random and re-refereed after the fact.

The CO activity has seen us disadvantaged through lack of key players at crucial times in the season and could potentially cost us majorly going forward.

Even Alfie's transfer value has been affected.

in addition who are the three stooges who seem to only pass our players up for sentencing - ex refs? I assume its a selection of 3 from a group but when you look at the incidents being cited and banned v those ignored its like the Knights of St Columba weekly meeting is where they watch the highlights packages each week.

Sums up the matter perfectly.
