Stoke v Duisburg

They played in a friendly yesterday, it ended 1-1 and the ref decided they should have a penalty shootout.

Only 3 players involved in it with Jack Butland being the only one from Stoke, he scored 3 penalties and Duisburg scored their 3, with the Ref then awarding Duisburg the victory.

Anyone any idea how that works? Never heard anything like it before.

I think introducing the penalty format from the League Cup groups into the league would be excellent winner of the shootout gets two Points instead of one

No away goals rule in the game but away penalties count double in friendly shoot outs, so 3-3 was a minimum 6-5 Duisburg.

So well done the ref :))
