Evening Times Ashley

Bosses at Rangers have lost the latest round of a long-running High Court fight over merchandise with Sports Direct owner Mike Ashley.
A company in the Sports Direct Group, SDI Retail Services, has said bosses at the Glasgow football club have been in breach of obligations under a deal relating to replica kit.
Bosses at Rangers disputed claims made against them.
Judge Lionel Persey finished overseeing the latest in a series of hearings at the High Court in London earlier this year.

He said on Friday, at a High Court hearing in London, that he had ruled in favour of SDI after analysing a number of issues in the latest stage of the dispute.
The judge has not yet published a full ruling outlining the detail of that dispute or the reasoning behind his decision.
In June he ruled on the meaning of one agreement after lawyers representing the rival camps were unable to agree the terms of that agreement.

A ruling outlining the reasoning behind that decision has recently been published online.
Rangers lost a round of the fight in October.
Another judge ruled Rangers had breached the terms of an agreement made with SDI.

Mr Justice Teare concluded bosses at Rangers had made a new agreement with another firm without giving SDI a chance to match that firm's offer.
SDI subsequently made further complaints.

How is it possible that the contracts signed by his snivelling weasels on the Rangers board stand up to scrutiny?

They were clearly only in Sports Direct's favour. Ridiculous.
The only part of the ridiculous contract that that doesn't seem to need to be adhered to is the 1 million break clause.

The time money and effort wasted on this (unt is unbelievable. King has to sit down across a table and try and thrash this out. If the outcome is a bit of lost face for King so be it. The greater good here is rangers

Maybe it's time to fill baskets in his shops then offer a £1 after they've been tilled up.
The same £1 he pays to rent the megastore at Ibrox?

None of us will ever buy anything from his companies anyway, the despicably mobile piece of shite that he is.
He is like shite that's stuck to our shoes and the sooner we can scliff him off on the grass the better, the smell will still linger but at least he will mostly be gone.

His lawyers certainly know the way to word contracts in the fat parasite prick's favour, probably the best leech corporate lawyers that money can buy.

Sue his placemen for not acting in the best interests of, their employer, Rangers.

Demonstrate their clear links to Ashley and motion to have the contracts ripped up.

This! I thought a director (Lambias (?) and the other big galloot ) had to by law make any decisions in the best interests of the company and its shareholders (me).
Has this ever been questioned?

That's why we keep losing because the contracts were written up and signed by his cronies. Watertight

The contract that is under dispute wasn’t signed by the Fat C*nts placemen though.

Now i am no expert in corporate law but 2 things have always bugged me.
1/ Surely a the judge would call into question what Ashley is doing here given that we just didn't buy from him so there is a reason RFC don't want to use him and they cannot make the money they know they can.
2/ Why did we not just let him match offer than say no thanks due to point 1 re we won't buy from him.

is that just to simple?

Feel like people haven’t really clicked that we’re the ones being obstructionist here. We’ll just continue to draw this out and take the piss while we can. Makes a change from it being the other way about for so long.

That's an interesting way to look at it. You'd have to imagine King is playing the fat clown at his own game!

I think this is what it's coming to.
The question is how much to completely rip up the contract if we even get the option.
