I can almost guarantee they were never interested in him
Nothing surer. Liewell spin doctors at work to make it look like they have knocked back big bidsI can almost guarantee they were never interested in him
Were the mentally challengeds unwilling to allow one to take place?I think it's related to the terms Arsenal insisted on as regards medical, deposit and how payment is structured.
Almost. I believe they feared the findings and wanted £25m up front - no stringsWere the mentally challengeds unwilling to allow one to take place?

The new paul McStay(s forever).
For me I'm glad that they didn't sell him for the £15m or so upfront that was talked about.
He's only a left back in the end and one that had a significantly less productive season in terms of goals per 90, assists per 90 and chances per 90 than Tavernier did.
Plus he was injured for a lot of the season and they still won the league. I think the money would have made if harder for us than him staying would.

Yet you can get Danny Rose for £15m-£20m it's absolutely sickening how much spin they put on everythingAh but Napoli are waiting in the wings to swoop in and meet Celtics totally realistic demand of £25m up front
I'm still struggling with it going from £15 million to £25m in the space of a couple of days! For me I'm glad that they didn't sell him for the £15m or so upfront that was talked about.

It was reported that it was about £15m upfront then more in clauses. Some quite unlikely for Arsenal such as CL qualification and winning the league. That brought it up to £25m.I'm still struggling with it going from £15 million to £25m in the space of a couple of days!
No 18, 20 or 22? Just a straight up improved offer of £10m?
I'm calling bullshit.
