Sheffield Wednesday said in a statement: "Following Newcastle United’s announcement on 17 July 2019 of its appointment of former Sheffield Wednesday staff Steve Bruce, Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence, the Club confirms that it has today reported Newcastle United’s conduct to the Premier League.

"As the Premier League will now initiate and carry out investigations into the Club’s allegations, the Club will not be commenting further on this matter whilst such investigations are ongoing."

I hope they have to pay the full £4m...the £4m that could have kept Rafa for another year :D:D

there was nothing keeping Rafa at Newcastle. He was always going to China for stupid wages this summer. Can't blame the man but it's a shame he couldn't be up front rather than throwing out daft statements about wanting to stay but believing in the project of China.

His "release fee" was £4m. Newcastle refused to pay it.

Bruce tendered his resignation, went AWOL and was announced as Newcastle manager without permission from Sheffield Wednesday.

Legal proceedings are underway.

If true,

That's disgusting. Very disappointed in Bruce as well, who always comes across as someone with a bit more class than that.

Not surprising from that chunt in charge of that club though

Rafa turned them over as well he put out to the press about how they didn't want to renegotiate with him over a new contract making himself out the victim .
Newcastle let his contract lapse and no sooner had he left than he was signing a contract with a Chinese club and since he was out of contract they did not have to pay a compensation fee
Nobody will tell me Rafa was doing the deal in Chins when he was complaining about being the victim to the press
Well done Rafa, get it up you ya fat turd.

Rafa played a blinder to try and preserve his reputation with the fans

He’s a Newcastle fan. Doubt he could turn down them or Man U

After being offered 3 pairs of Donny socks, a Firetrap jacket enough of those big mugs for everyone employed by the club and a big calculator Wednesday refused the compo.

Rafa was shat on by Ashley, promised him decent backing, got fuk all, Newcastle have spent almost nothing in the last few years, well played Rafa, glad he got no compo for him. Do agree the China project shite was a bit embarrassing.

Back to court for the Fat Man. At this rate the LA Law box set has less episodes than this spanner.
You know what, the amount of times this trumpet is in court should set alarm bells ringing with judges, the common denominator here is obviously the fat man, it’s about time the law had a word with him.

I hope Newcastle United get relegated, Mike Ashley doesn't get the sale he wants and the club sit in the second tier for years to come whilst Ashley loses a hell of a lot of money.

The man and his minions are absolute scum.

Bruce wrote a couple of cringey books about a football manager who solved murders and foiled terrorists. The manager was based on himself.

I’ve always thought of him as a manchild. His histrionics when Arsenal scored a goal against his team instead of returning the ball, his nasty attack on Jeff Winter, his press conferences in general. And he has previous for walking out on teams - he walked out on Crystal Palace which led to an injunction preventing him joining Birmingham.

Steve Bruce has walked out on almost every club he has managed so it came as no surprise that he walked out on Wednesday when a bigger club, particularly the one he and his family have always supported, came in for him. It is the biggest job he will ever get - far above his capability. I feel sorry for the Newcastle fans to have the owner and manager they now have. Relegation on the way.

The law loves court cases. Keeps the money rolling in
