Big Borna

His technical ability has never been in doubt or at least i hope it wasn't, his free kick is perfect example of what he has in his bag. It's defending against better or more athletic sides

If you'd never seen him play before you'd have to say that was a decent performance. Defensively decent enough and got a goal. Yes he's night and day from Tav's attacking options, but he wasn't bad, nor was he just a passenger. He won us the game.

If you actually watch him closely he’s neat and tidy on the ball, doesn’t tend To give fouls away and is calm, keeps position doesn’t to lose the ball, yes he doesn’t cross it as much as Tav but when Borna gets the ball out wide he passes it back to the centre where the more creative players open up space

Yea huge questions marks on his ability to defend. All their dangerous play went through him. I’m so desperate for this lad to step up

he done his usual today, 90% of his passes are back, he lets the ball bounce and at the end was weak in defending. He scored a great goal but his overall performance was the same as it always is.

Didn't think he played well at all today. Hopefully that goal will give him the confidence boost he's been needing.

He didn’t have a good game, but that was a fucking screamer and he seemed to grow in confidence. I still think he’s reluctant to take responsibility and stands off his man too often.

It would have been his fault as he let his man cross the ball with their chance at the end, great goal but still has alot to improve on

2nd half he was better but first half he looked scared to bring the ball forward and offered absolutely nothing. Took his goal very well

He had Jones in front off him, he isnt Tav. He defended well, kept it simple, kept possession. They got ball past him once, right at the end, apart from that, hee haw. Solid game today and better than both Flanagan and Halliday have offered recently.

Great goal, delighted for him. St Mirren were difficult to break down as their results so ar this season have proven. So we needed something special and Borna provided it. No doubting his ability so hopefully this gives him the confidence to take more responsibility and step it up.

No he didn’t , other than his goal he was poor , kept letting them run at him , slow to press , slow out to block , anything they done came down his end. Goal aside he was woeful and lazy

Correct! McGregor wasn't slow in letting him know on a good few occasions

Anything they done came down his end and they didn’t score yet he didn’t play well.

He done well in a one on one.

Just admit you don’t like him.

I thought he had a poor game, but the goal was stunning. People need to stop polarising the Barisic argument, some of the criticism is OTT but equally some people won’t hear a bad word said about him, even when totally justified.

Grateful for the tremendous contribution from him today, still expect far more from him in other aspects of his game.

Part of a clean sheet defence and scoring a goal will help his confidence no end. Still not first choice but hopefully can compete with Flanno and improve the squad.

Still defensively weak and letting people run at him they almost scored at the end and that came down his side.

But credit where it is due a cracking freekick let’s hope he gets a massive boost and can kick on.
