That’s the report I was referring to in my post #74
This isn't one to add to the list.Would be interesting if some bear could catalogue all the negative stuff posted this year that timmy believes will unhinge our quest for 55.
there's a much bigger story across the city you know.how about doing story on that?
Aye FF could explain it.So the club hasn’t released a statement on it, but we’re meant to believe that a journo has information relating to Rangers’ tax position that’s not in the public domain.
It’s either nothing we can’t already work out for ourselves from publicly available information, nothing to do with the clubs itself, or someone speaking out of turn.

do you not get that every press story isn't to stop our title challenge/some other crazy conspiracy? We must be doing well this season then.
I don’t think they would. If it’s oldco business that’s why I’m not worried.I’m not so sure. Would the Accounts for RIFC touch on something that only really affects the oldco (in business terms)?
Puddle-drinkers on twitter seem annoyed that the headline may not be telling the story they were grabbing the popcorn for. It may not have any bearing on us now, but if it puts them back in their box that’s good enough for me.
It would stop all that horrendous sevco patter for a start, for anyone thats bothered by it.What practical effect would it have on us if the oldco wasn’t liquidated after all?
Genuine question, because all this stuff is way too complicated.
This, amongst other reasons, is probably why the SPL was would up and phoenixed into the SPFL.
The SPL took over the SFL and re-branded as the SPFL.
The company number for the SPL and the SPFL is the same, ergo it was not wound up, they simply re-named it after absorbing the SFL.
I'd love HMRC to be held to account for the way in which this whole debacle was handled.
Make no mistake, there are people within that organisation whose soul aim was to damage Rangers.
Since when ?do you not get that every press story isn't to stop our title challenge/some other crazy conspiracy?
Could we potentially sue the SFA, SPFL and HMRC?
Wasn't it rumoured we were a test case and that was the reason they were pursuing it so vigorously - even when they couldn't gain very much other than to just damage us.
Did any other high profile EBT cases come after that final ruling??
Gooood. Goood
Sue the phuck out of them
Edit. Can we use Fatman’s lawyers though
For a start withheld prize money and transfer fees. Loss of income through demotion (they voted to push down one league,.we could get at least that). Loss of income from the players that left. The use of the 5 way agreement to push us into accepting a one sided deal. There will be other claims, hopefully the board is up for the fightI wonder what the grounds are for sueing
If you let the sevco patter annoy you then maybe you need a break from football. It would stop all that horrendous sevco patter for a start, for anyone thats bothered by it.
Could well be wrong, but I seem to remember an old discussion on here about the SPL and the SPFL still carrying the same registration no. at Companies House, which would make them the same company. This, amongst other reasons, is probably why the SPL was would up and phoenixed into the SPFL.

UEFA would then boot us (and other Scottish clubs) out of Europe.
Not really worth it when our business model relies on European Football.
Exactly, but for now there’s nothing in it.But it’s still a legal entity, it could be re-erected as the company which once operated the Rangers football team.
Could we potentially sue the SFA, SPFL and HMRC?
All of his shares were sold to Charles Green. £2 was the fee apparently.craig Whyte would own the company would he not?
Someone within Rangers has loose lips.
One or two crave attention.
Sworn to secrecy lol
Hence why I said for anyone bothered by it. It is absolutely atrocious patter though. If you let the sevco patter annoy you then maybe you need a break from football.
I’m sworn to secrecy but I wanted to allay fears or panic it was new
Monumental doesn't nearly cover this.
HMRC have confirmed that they vastly over billed Rangers oldco for EBT tax assessments. The ‘real’ bill would not have been sufficient to see the company sold and then pushed into admin - leading to the club being relegated and all the implications of that. A monumental scandal.
