Morelos agent : Rangers not looking for a massive fee

RANGERS star Alfredo Morelos’ agent has fired a warning to potential clubs interested in the hitman to act soon.

The Gers ace has been on red hot form for Steven Gerrard’s side this season so far and finished the league’s top goalscorer last campaign too.

He has scored 22 goals already this term in all competitions, including 11 in the Europa League.

SunSport revealed that Crystal Palace are among keen parties to swoop for the Colombian.

And now one of the 23-year-old’s representatives has told potential suitors to come in for him sooner rather than later – because the longer they wait, the more money it’ll take to snap him up.

Theofilos Karasavvidis, who works for World in Motion – the representatives of the striker – claims the Ibrox club do NOT have a massive fee placed on his head.

Gaffer Gerrard insisted after their 3-0 Betfred semi-final win over Hearts that Morelos would ‘100%’ not be sold in the upcoming January window.

This was backed up by new sporting director Ross Wilson who said the fan’s favourite would ‘categorically’ not be moving on just yet.

However, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb, Karasavvidis said: “He is a player who has always scored a lot since he arrived in Europe.

“This is a goal machine. He is a player worth following, (clubs) who want a striker must come and follow him.

“He does not have a very high value. My advice is to take him before his name is on everyone’s lips.”

Aston Villa are also said to be tracking Morelos who has been one of the standout players from the Premiership this season

We thinking that’s a minimum release clause in his last contract? September 2018 and March 2019 were the last 2 new contracts from him. He’s a lot better than what he was in March. Worth a new contract, stay past January and then sell for the bigger fee in the summer?

Obviously saying he doesn’t have a massive fee to not put off any interested parties. 25-30 million if you want him in January.

All agents are the same.

I do hope that we’ve upped his price to £25-30m. That’s what he’s worth.

Agent looking to sell a player / press happy to present a headline to have moonhowlers clicking link.

Next story please.

He's basically saying buy him now or you'll have to pay a lot more to buy him in the future.

Absolutely no quotes about what Rangers think he's worth. The headline is one of those lies that the press know will not be challenged, so it's a safe lie for them to tell.

Depends what is considered a huge fee. £20m isn’t a massive amount to Premier League teams.

If we let him go for £20m we’d be as well just dropping our pants because every English side will know that we let our absolute top talent go for below market value.

We have the power here. He’s tied into a long term contract, top scorer in the country, top scorer in the Europa League, a Colombian International.

Absolute minimum should be £25m plus 20% but I think £30m is quite easily achievable.

Don’t underestimate this kid because of the league he’s playing in. He’s a superstar in the making.

How many teams in the EPL would be breaking their transfer record spending 25 million?

Norwich, Burnley, Sheffield, Brighton, Villa, Southampton.

Edit: and Bournemouth maybe too. So basically 1/3 of EPL clubs haven’t spent that much on one player.

Alfies value will go up as he scores more goals which is clear to everyone

So the Sun prints a story based on a comment by his agent.

They need to put something in their 'newspaper'

Is there an international break on?

Sounds like the agent is being a dick and trying to encourage bids, not sure how he'll know what fee Rangers are looking for
I agree with the first part, he is stirring honey pot trying to make himself some money.

But if that new contract was signed and his agent doesn't know what we want for Alfie then he really needs to be looking for a new agent. He will know ballpark our expectations, no way he doesn't.

Probably good agent work, it won’t be massive to the clubs he should be going to.

In the current climate, £25-30m for a boy of his age, with his scoring record and potential isn’t an enormous fee.

It wont be up the the agent how much Rangers want for him .... he's playing a dangerous game .... one word from Stevie G and Alfie will be changing his agent

His Agent is becoming a pair in the arse to be perfectly honest.

Don't mind the agent drumming up interest. We will ultimately sell so this will generate interest and higher pricing. Taken in context against English and top European transfer market values his point is valid.

People not see it’s the SUN shit stirring as usual to sell papers a five year old could have made that story up, no wonder the SUN is hated. It’s very possible Alfie will go, however let’s see it well after the end of the Season. As a P.S. anyone know if his previous Club have got a, “Sell On?”

Could argue that it is worth spending big on his wage for 6 months to keep him happy, then sell?

Slightly worried that there is a release clause in his contract set last season when he signed it that may not reflect his true value

Depends on What his definition of huge is.
Alfredo will be sold eventually we know that but it would be nice if the club didn't put a value on him and let's see who bids what.

Agent is probably on for about £3m if morelos gets a move so he will be trying like f*** to get him a move rangers will decide when morelos moves not some agent

Clearly not. 25 million as a base for negotiation,if Tierney is worth that then Alfie is upwards of 30. Could be the rags stirring it desperate to see the back of him, which has been the vibe for weeks, even when the gaffer comes out and says he's not moving.
