Our centre backs must see more of the ball than any other players. And this suits the opposition perfectly. They're both terrible on the ball, Goldson somehow thinks he's capable of pinging 80 yard diagonals. Delusional.
 
Why did he change the team at 2-1 up we were all over them,why bring on Davis and Stuart they were not required quite the opposite in fact ,when kamberi came on he gave an added threat up front ,we were playing quick attacking football then Fckn BOOM slow down let them back into it and with our defence today it was like giving them a goal,why did he take off Hagi and Morelos No words left ,Except GUTTED

As much as I want to i cannot disagree with any this. The Europa league is only about getting as much cash as possible, no way will we win it. This season was all about the league and we have failed. As for the Scottish Cup, it means very little other than stopping that mob win another treble.
 
Far too much of this game was with one eye on Wednesday.
From team selection, to substitutions, player attitude, everything.

Amateur stuff.

Where do we go from here? Could be out of Europe this week and league looks done, if Morelos goes in the summer & hagi gets persuaded by a top EPL team can we rely on Kent & Kamberi for a title?! Get McInnes, Cosgrove & Turnbull in in the summer!!
 
Although we were poor it’s really all down to Katic. We would have won with 10 men in the second half if we’d just taken him off.

100 % .. as soon as Goldson gets the ball everything slows down, I've said before he thinks he's a better player that he is. If he keeps it simple and defends , he's a decent player
 
We have known for a while that this formation with these players haven’t been working.

we are now back in the Warburton Caixhinha era where our the other teams know how to play against this formation and we won’t change things up.
 
Gerrard gets one more season.
However if there is a repeat next season he will be a goner.
In some ways it has been the hope that has killed us in both seasons.
We have over achieved in Europe and been truly competitive in the first half of each season and then completely capitulated in the second half.
Total mystery.

Going long early on would probably only have worked if Kamberi had started as the only one with height and ( on today's showing ) desire to win.

Gerrard not missing the defence in his post match. Says he needs Helander back urgently and the goals weve conceded at Aberdeen, Hearts, Kilmarnock, Braga and today are as a result of poor defending.

We have no chance at this level with the defensive mistakes that are being made.
 
For me Kamberi was the only positive from today,Our defence is just shambolic our creative men werent very creative and poor Alfie has misslaid his shooting boots.

It really is pathetic the amount of time spent knocking it about for close to a minute, that must be the manager, just let shagger punt it upfield and let them deal with it, concentrate on getting the second ball, mind numbingly simple
 
That game was thrown away on 2 defensive errors. We did enough to win the game then undid the hard work. No point in blaming, formation, or refs, or game management. It was 2 errors.
 
Team have been shite but Katic was an absolute diddy today. They all seem to take turns of who is the weekly diddy. Kamara on Thursday there, Katic today, who will it be next Wednesday I wonder?
 
Just wait till we play Celtc. They play two up front and both Katic and Goldson will get ran ragged, and with no covering defenders we are really going to struggle, unless our tactically naive manager discovers a new system to deal with it. As I said in the match thread with our right back spending half the game on the right wing, even when we are defending, Jack is going to end up playing like a sweeper.

Katic was rank from the off and should have been off at 1/2 time, maybe earlier.

Last week Kamara was having a mare and should have been subbed after 15 minutes, but no was kept on.

Why change tactics when we were 2 - 1 up?
 
Conformation, not that it was needed, that the league is over.

Massive week ahead now to make sure the entire season isnt finished before we get into March.
 
An interesting aspect of what we all saw today is that having a bigger, stronger, taller guy up front (Kamberi, who admittedly is also skillful on the deck) actually helped.
He may not be a "target man", but he CAN hold the ball up and he CAN lay it off and cross and pass.

As another poster mentioned, it's astounding to see Kamberi looking a better bet for scoring than Morelos.

If Kamberi can continue to play and link and score like that, he'll be a great addition to the team.
The scene was set for him to come off the park and be lauded as our new hero, but our "central defence" blew that one.
 
You can’t blame tactics when you give them two goals of a start with total shambolic defending. Edmunson must wonder what has to happen before he gets a game...

Both times we have played two up front with Kamberi we have changed the game. Today prime example reverted to 4-3-3 and did not win. In Kamberi we have another CF like Buffalo that can cause severe problems to defenses unlike Defoe. Two times SG has tried it and been successful. Change of tactics S.G if you want to be a winning manager. Flexibility wins things. One set of tactics does not fit all please learn.

Outwith the bheasts Gerrard has had a budget way in excess of other teams but yet it's those teams that we're dropping points to.

At 2 - 2 he was slumped in his seat, hands in pockets - no passion, nothing. Hardly team inspiring behaviour.

He'll be offski in the summer.
