Sunderland til I die Series 2 Wednesday 1/4

Looking forward to this. First season was excellent. Car crash stuff with fans fully expecting promotion and hopeless players having other ideas.

That Josh Maja agent looks to be a right c unt. Player recruitment boy actually calls that the agent likes to send his players abroad as he gets huge agent fee, 3 month later he’s off to France.

Season went tits up after losing him too.

On episode 3, it’s missing the sun tan man for entertainment but still interesting seeing the ins and outs of how a club is ran financially and the stress dealing with agents etc

Just watched the first episode of the new series and it pretty much carries on where the other one left off.

The new chairman does a better David Brent than Ricky Gervais!

Sunderland at the time still owed money to Bordeaux for Wahbi Khazri so it was no surprise where he went to

Maja was out contract at the end of the season

According to transfermarkt Maja has the same agency as Ojo and Aribo

That first spiv in the intro scenes - Charlie Methven - trying much too hard to ingratiate himself with the locals by having every other word beginning with ‘fk’. Already gives the impression he’ll be hopelessly out his depth - far more suited to selling wedding events to fellow toffs in the Home Counties.

See they’ve kept that shite pathetic, condescending and naff theme music - pass the sick bucket
