Two Club 1872 directors have reisgned

ignoring the irritating posts alluding to issues but not stating what they are, there does seem to be a lack of corporate governance with C1872. The resigned directors need to be replaced and there needs to be an AGM.

Also, the website is not accepting new members or taking donations and hasn’t for a while. That is not acceptable. Membership is the bread and butter of the organisation and no web change should have been allowed to go live if it impacted new signups. Even then, they should have a well publicised manual process to make sure donations and memberships aren’t impacted.

I actually despair reading some of this pish.

When you consider what the club has gone through in last 10-years or so, and the number of enemies and external battles we have and still do face, the last thing we need is in-fighting.

During the worst days, the vast majority of fans united, with the exception of a few spiv stooges, but now it looks like people have forgotten that strength in unity is the biggest strength we have,

Been far too much of this recently, 4LHAD stepping back, Club failing to respond to C1872 about Castore issues, Directors resigning from C1872 and keyboard bickering.

People have very short memories, and I think the club need to help here and show more leadership.

The loyalty and support shown by the fans for Season Tickets' MyGers, New Kits, RTV etc has been incredible and all fans deserve respect and cannot be taken for granted. There is also a responsibility on C1872 and fan groups to work together on common ground.

We wouldn't tolerate constant infighting in the dressing room / boardroom as we always know that nobody is bigger than the club, so this should apply to fans and privileged influential fan media.

Sort this shit out.

United we stand divided we fall.

You are spot on ,there was a pretty heated thread on this yesterday containing a lot of information/misinformation depending on your point of view.
IMO first and foremost Club1872 should be a vehicle for acquiring shares so we never fall in to the hands of spiv scum again.Whatever the issues are them they need sorted out and fast.

ever get the feeling its weird they have their own office in Ibrox and sponsorship on the stands ?
This having office's in the club etc does more harm than good. Club1872 was set up to give shareholders a voice. That voice could wield more power by not operating from inside Ibrox and being as cosy with the board.

They are so ‘cosy ’ with the Club Board that the Club Board chose to ignore their complaint about Castore, forcing Club1872 to make that lack of response public? Sounds like they are in their pocket right enough.

Would it be fair to say Chris Graham was given a paid role with the club albeit on a consultancy basis by Dave King as a parachute to his unfortunate removal from the board - and his role is really to run Club 1872 but as an un-elected board member. And its this that seems to upset and frustrate newly elected board members ?

With King now away CG is maybe not feeling the love from RFC that he once was ?

Seems this is constantly hinted at and alluded to but for some reason no one wants to come out and say it

Three clubs mate!
This nonsense needs to stop.

This appears to be about governance not folk wanting or starting a new organisation.

Its also insulting to the people who run supporters clubs and groups as it is no doubt a thankless task

There are obviously a handful of bad apples more interested in their own interests and egos but they become obvious and best ignored.

FFS they’re so cosy they say the Board won’t talk to them! Have you not read this thread?

Thankless task? There’s guys who pay their mortgages off the busses and others who automatically get a ticket for every game. They’re not building a school in Malawi.

Lets face it, it’s not just a Rangers thing. People like power and having their ideas heard. It’s always the same faces around these fan ventures as well which should raise questions immediately.

Thanks for the explanation. So many posts have been deleted on this, it’s been hard to work out what’s been going on.

It could be a combination of the ego folk but also some genuine folk as not that many actually apply for the roles.

As for running buses. The ones I've went on, the people running them do it, put in a lot of time and effort and don't make a penny.

If folk are coining it in off their members then surely the members need to say something but that's not anything I'm aware of.

Is this what RB is alluding to in other thread?

C1872 is an absolute basket case.

First step has to be to fix it or to forever abandon the idea of a fan group that can have representation and influence within the club.

The RST ultimately failed.
The group that followed failed.
The fighting fund failed.
C1872 is failing.

Time to shit or get off the pot.

Rangers First seemed to get off to a flyer and was moving along fine until it basically merged with the RST.

After that, it all went downhill

Rangers First was the most unified I had ever seen the support and then it just seemed to completely torpedo.

It was the product of those who betrayed their members when they were on the Trust board - as such it was doomed to failure and a very good thing it was put to sleep.

Is it not time to move on from all that though, its still going on today through attitudes to c1872.

I’m sure C1872 has/had directors who were involved in RF.
