Rangers have partnered with Douglas Laing to produce single malt whiskies.

Thought I'd post this as a christmas gift for folk that might not have seen it, I like Whisky (Ironically collecting, more than drinking these days) but at £75 and probably coming as a set of 3 for £225 not sure if I'll dive in on this.

Rangers Football Club unveils their specialist Single Cask, Single Malt Scotch Whisky Series.

Combining two of life’s greatest pleasures, football and Scotch Whisky, three Limited Edition Single Cask bottlings will be released before Christmas. The trio of mature, refined and collectable Whiskies are bottled at 46% alcohol strength and offered without colouring or chill-filtration - rendering them the perfect winter warmers!

The Club worked with renowned Glasgow-based Scotch Whisky Distiller and Bottler, Douglas Laing to select the casks. The first release is a 13 Years Old Glenrothes Single Cask Single Malt Which is said to carry an amalgam of “vanilla’d oak, brown sugar and gentle spice”.

James Bisgrove, Rangers Commercial and Marketing Director, commented:

“Rangers are very proud to be launching an officially licensed scotch whisky series with Douglas Laing – together we have created a trio of exceptional, limited edition whiskies that are set to be enjoyed by fans all around the world. The Single Cask Single Malt whisky range marks the first of many launches with Douglas Laing and we look forward to releasing further special edition products in the future.”

Chris Leggat, Douglas Laing’s CEO added: “There is enthusiasm and passion for Scotch Whisky amongst the Rangers support so we are delighted to support the Club in releasing these three very special limited edition bottlings. After much deliberation, these excellent Single Casks were selected and form part of a sensational collectors set for Rangers fans and Whiskyenthusiasts alike.”

I clicked the link but as someone who isn’t a huge fan of, but has the occasional, Whisky, I’ll pass

Seems a bit pricey but I suppose if you are collecting them rather than drinking it's worth it. The 9 game of thrones ones are £515.

Oh aye. Will buy for a wee taste. Not sure it'll stack up against my collection but certainly worth a drop.

Bought one, eighty one pound all in, speyside my favourite.
Just hope I don't drink it whilst already drunk lol

Site going very slowly but managed to get my order in. I suspect it's being hammered as a result of this post!

Just picked up two. Surprised there is still any available given only 360 made.

They’ve marked the price up due the rangers link/limited numbers but will still be a good malt.
Douglas Laing have access to some great casks so looking forward to the next ones.
I’m going to buy two. One to keep and one to drink!

I can't bring myself to open my Glenmorangie Signet my brother got me for my 50th 5 year ago around £140...

Normal Glenmorangie is my favourite.
Assuming you won't be selling it on in the future with it being a gift from your brother, so what you gonna do with it if your not gonna drink it?

You'll be a long time dead, mate. GIP.

Get It Poured! :p

No doubt it will be nice but the price is excessive .

With its price, I'm fearful it would be that good I'd tank the lot in one sitting :)

You are of course correct though.

Where is this press release from?

Thankfully managed to get one of these

Will be looking out and getting in fast when the other 2 are released

46 % non chill filtered and no added colouring would suggest a quality product. All I need is the cocaine and I’m sorted.
