How did it go from NY getting ready to re-take the decisive penalty to "Nani misses a penalty to win it for Orlando"?

Then if Orlando had 1 more to take anyway why were they all celebrating and the manager away down the tunnel in the first place?

Sasa this explanation is more of a shambles than the game ffs :))

What a laugh I had watching that there, just turned over to watch the penalties - never in a million years did I expect to see the chaos that ensued!

Class :))

Nani penalty save was correct according to new rules, keeper must have one foot touching line when player hits penalty, have never seen a player sent off in penalty shootout, he was booked during game and apparently said something to ref when he ordered retake.

One of the best bits was the Orlando team celebrating the (second, deemed legit) save and winning the game and one commentator saying to the other something along the lines of:

“am I going crazy? I could have sworn it was 5-5.”

%^*& sake that’s mental.

holding OP warranted

And to make things worse, I was supposed to fly out yesterday to Orlando and planned to take in a game. Watched this and attending that would be one you’d keep the ticket stub for to prove you’d actually been there. Totally mental.

The ref will probably get an email asking if he fancies being the new compliance officer for Scottish football!

Is coming off your line a bookable offence?
Surely its just a retake?

He may have been booked for dissent. It’s not been cleared up.

When the rule was brought in at first they were definitely booking players but then it was stopped - not sure if that’s global or varies by Association.

Just seems a cheap booking. Uo there with taking your top off.
Can potentially end a players season and get a yellow but by %^*& dont stand on a white line correctly....

Raging! As soon as the save to win the first time
Was made I switched over, watched 5 minutes of the Atl Madrid game then switched over to watch the Columbus game and couldn’t believe it

Watched it live with my jaw on the floor

Surely the repalcememt goalie issue wasn't down to them using all the subs, but the fact u can't make a sub during a penalty shoot out? (Or can you?)
