Rangers could only play one Scottish Premiership fixtures in 33 days after their February 13 game with Kilmarnock.

The Ibrox men have played out most of the season so far with their title rivals Celtic trailing behind in the number of games played after Covid issues saw fixtures postponed.

But by the end of March celticshould have caught up after a spell packed with games.

Livingston's success in reaching the Betfred Cup Final against St Johnstone means their match at the Tony Macaroni against the Ibrox men on February 28 has now been postponed with a new date to be announced shortly.

And with space for two Scottish Cupweekends plus matches in the Europa League to fit in, there is currently only room for one fixture in the top flight between February 13 and the clash with Celtic on March 20.

That solitary game, against St Mirren, will take place at Ibrox on March 6.

Rivals Celtic have three games in hand and catch up on their first against St Mirren next Saturday.

They face the same opponents to chalk off another match on February 10 before facing the last of their backlog against Aberdeen a week later.

Neil Lennon's men will also face St Johnstone on February 14, Aberdeen once again on February 27 and Dundee United on March 7.

It means, when the two sides meet on March 20, Celtic will have played 32 games, one more than Rangers on 31.

The Ibrox mens' games between February 13 and March 20 currently looks as follows:

February 13 - Kilmarnock (Premiership)

February 18 - Antwerp (Europa League)

A big thank you to the powers that be allowing us recovery time between our Europa ties. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that.

Is that not only if the Scottish Cup games get played?

I really doubt this years Scottish Cup will be completed, although if it means potentially shafting us with less league games then it will 100% be played to hinder us, IMO.

This is not a bad thing.
It gives us rest time between games so that we are less likely to be affected by niggling injuries etc towards the end of the season.
It's not as if we're playing 1 game in 33 days, we have cup games and EL games to concentrate on.

They c***s are up to something, stop rangers playing for a month or so so they can catch up,the only way they are gonna get anywhere near us!!

If we don't play Scottish Cup games as we should and don't get league games rescheduled to then, we could end up with a real fixture headache later on. Especially if still going in Europe.

Aren't we at home to Royal Antwerp on February 25?

If we beat Hibs tomorrow, then Celtic could win all their games in hand, plus 1 more than us, and still be 11 points behind.

So I'd say it's fairly unlikely. Far more probable they'll have played themselves into a worse position by then.
Let’s us know how we get on tomorrow night mate and ill let you know the score on Wednesday night

If we progress in Europe we will have two more games and if not then the livi game will definitely get played within a fortnight of the original game. So it will all balance out I guess.
