Tims get 18,500 fans in for friendly vs West Ham on Saturday.

At the very least the club should be seeking an explanation from GCC and the reasons behind their decision should be made known to the general public.

You are aware of our record with the Scottish judiciary over the past ten years???

If we get competent legal support a corporate lawyer can easily prove discrimination and loss of earnings

Its not a jury or dodgy PF personnel

This is an easy win case

GCC are clearly giving the scum preferential treatment

The club need to get onto GCC and demand the same percentages

Glasgow City Council CSC giving favourable treatment to that lot.

Well I for one am shocked. Saw this coming a mile away.

Devil's advocate here is it maybe cause we are playing 2 games ? But on the other hamd how do we only have 17000 for livi
You might be right - maybe as there won’t be much time to do cleaning between the 2 games they have split the numbers? Clutching at straws as there’s no great logic in it.

On the point about Livi we obviously have a smaller stadium. Their 18,500 is actually a smaller % of their max capacity (about 30.6%) than our 17,000 will be (about 33.5%).

It also needs to be borne in mind that under the same level of Covid restrictions as will apply to the Livi game they only got 9,000 for a competitive game last night so it’s not like they have been getting whatever they want.

There’s no logic, consistency or transparency to any of this which is what makes it frustrating.

It's unbelievable and a bare faced " get it right up you Rangers" how can they make 10000 fans of a difference on the same efin day, I hope that we just don't sit back and take it, a public explanation is needed from the SNP Gestapo. If you tried to explain this to anyone outside of this Cesspit they wouldn't believe you.

They are going to use the excuse that their stadium is bigger

I’m sure they will, still makes no sense as the proportionate attendance is nowhere near the same.

But coming from the famously mathematically challenged GCC it’s really not surprising.

Yes, but they're then looking at 24k for their first home league game, which is in effect their 4th game

the 18.5 they get for WH, should be equatable to our 12.7 for RM - which equates to around 24.9% of our capacity

I can understand why people may try and rationalize it as something to do with capacity. However that has never been anything to do with it.

Look at all the pish with how many people you're allowed in your house. It's not like there was ever any differentiation made between a one bedroom flat and a mansion.

The virus can't tell if someone has a season ticket. It's meant to be science that decides, not whether you vote SNP.
Obviously you miss the irony- Celtic fans have a HISTORY of claiming refunds for season ticket games missed due to Covid- the Celtic minded GCC have the ability to stop the Celtic fans from claiming by increasing attendance numbers therefore the damage limitation exercise slant - GCC are no friends of ours but most certainly have Celtic’s best interests at all times under consideration

Not having that. We could have 2 x 18500 crowds and no seat is used more than once.
And the bit about capacity was seemingly unimportant when Motherwell got allowed 2000 same as Rangers or Celtic.

Regardless what pretend scientific reason they try to use the Council are just doing what Celtic loving Republicans do. They look after their own and like giving Rangers a kick.

There has to be legal representation made here, and this decision to allow 18500 fans into their ground for just their 3rd match is precedent we get the same. If we were brave enough, we sell 18500 seats for Sunday as our ground is in the same council area as Parkhead and let them justify challenging us in court.

We get shat on enough, fight back.

is it maybe something to do with the fact we have 12k the following day? so 20k in the weekend?

Just guessing cos otherwise it makes %^*& all sense

Still awaiting the result of our ‘robust legal action’ against those who defamed out club.

Not a chance anything will come from this (or that).

From their statement

We are also encouraged by the indicative figure of around 24,500 for the subsequent home game in Paradise from the Safety Advisory Group.

So either their CLQR3 game or the Dundee game reading that

Yes Paradise isn't a typo

Roll up, Roll up, place your bets....
What attendance will Celtic have for their 1st home league game?

If they play at home the first midweek in August in a European tie, then their league game will be over 30k

Make no doubts about that. If they don't, then they'll be 24500 as was in post #85

I'll wait on the strongly worded statement from our club calling out the inconsistencies and the differences, and demanding an explanation

And I'll wait, and I'll wait, and I'll continue to wait.........
5 Mygers points for all if they get cognisant into the statement for at least the 3rd time!
