Im sure theres a joke about hedging your bets somewhere in there.
He's followed rangers long before Gerrard. Really nice guy too.He replied to me on Twitter the other week.
He certainly comes across as a bear, I always presumed it was the Gerrard factor but that tweet makes it seem like it’s been a longer thing.
It should've been but charlatans and other factors on and off the field derailed it.Even though we struggled that day I honestly thought the journey back would be a breeze.
Naïve looking back nowadays.
Some have already forgotten and are standing with their ticket money ready. We will always remember the journey back however we will never forgive or forget those who put us there in the first place - they tried to kill our club.
Same here, sometimes I'll read a match report from then, knowing I've been at the game and still have no recollection. Must be some sort of post traumatic disorder.Even having been to all the games during that it’s almost as if I’ve deliberately blocked out the game struggle to remember many goals etc at all
That must be it mate, it’s like a mental block we’ve put infront of itSame here, sometimes I'll read a match report from then, knowing I've been at the game and still have no recollection. Must be some sort of post traumatic disorder.
A (small) section of the (huge) crowd sang in praise of the spiv with big hands that day....Even though we struggled that day I honestly thought the journey back would be a breeze.

First league game, was my 12th birthday. Was the 1st game not Peterhead or have I imagined that?
Almost. Wiki has it down as McKay and Little.First league game, was my 12th birthday.
2-2, McKay and Templeton (I think?)
I’ve still got the jersey. Absolutely loved it and just wish that design was used during a happier spell for the club.On another subject, is that kit available anywhere. Always liked it’s simplicity.

So I’ve been told, a lady friends mother thought I was his son for about 5 yearsAren't you meant to be Jig's double
It's hard to pick out the most traumatic part of that.First league game, was my 12th birthday.

Can't remember much of it, then have weird ideas like "Ian Black played for us" - strange.Even having been to all the games during that it’s almost as if I’ve deliberately blocked out the game struggle to remember many goals etc at all

Same mate dark dark days indeed.
Reality hit about as early as a few months inAye me too. The novelty wore off pretty fckn quick.
An injury time equaliser by Little as well.Almost. Wiki has it down as McKay and Little.
I think most felt the same mate. I'm a pessimistic bastard though, and had a feeling we would utterly romp it until the championship at which point I thought we might struggle. I didn't envisage the off field spiv driven shambles that essentially caused the on field woes, however. When it was clusterfuck central I really didn't see us getting back to the very top - really grim days.Even though we struggled that day I honestly thought the journey back would be a breeze.

Yeah, wasn't the start we all hoped for by any stretch. An injury time equaliser by Little as well.
The drink helped because it was fucking dire if truth be toldEven having been to all the games during that it’s almost as if I’ve deliberately blocked out the game struggle to remember many goals etc at all

Some folk just want to watch the team that we very nearly lost. Some have already forgotten and are standing with their ticket money ready.

Yip was at the game that day and thought we’d breeze through a year in each league and win the premier league first time back. Oh dear!Even though we struggled that day I honestly thought the journey back would be a breeze.
