Today was Ryan Jack injury update from his Surgeon I believe - any information

In all honesty, Ryan Jack is no more than a squad player now and we should be looking to replace him

People might say I’m being harsh but you can’t rely on him to play 25+ league games a season and will always continue to pick up wee injuries
The surgery he had a few months ago will hopefully see him back raring to go.

First name on the team sheet

“I said before the game how important it is to have Jacko back for many reasons,” said Gerrard. “Firstly because he’s a fantastic footballer, but he also drives standards with the way he trains. He demands things from people around him in the right way. He’s a leader and has been a captain before.”

“I was really lucky to take on Ryan Jack — other coaches and teams have done a fantastic job with him. The longer we can keep him fit between now and the end of the season the better because he makes the group stronger in all kinds of different ways,”

Also Gerrard said this about jack

"This is a kid who missed six months at the back end of last season. I am delighted with Ryan's performance," Gerrard said.
"I've got a good type on my hands there. He's a player who cares, who wants to win and is prepared to go out and do exactly what you've asked of him.
"I think he made one minor mistake during 90 minutes in a big football match. As a midfielder, I was jealous of Ryan's performance tonight.

No disrespect mate, but what you're saying simply isn't true.

He hasn't had a single set back since his op and the reason he got the operation was to prevent the problem recurring.
So are all his injuries not linked then? If not, that’s even worse considering the time he’s spend on the sidelines

As far as I'm aware he's had an ongoing issue that initially they tried to manage with rest.

However, after visiting a specialist it was decided that an operation, with a fairly long rehab, could repair the injury permanently.
With the league won, Jack decided to put his club career ahead of an international tournament and went in for the operation.

Previous other niggles were apparently caused by over compensating for the main injury, which is fairly normal within sport.

There's been no setbacks, or delay with his return.
He's entering the final stages of his rehab.

Ryan Jack when fit is top drawer. Suprised to see some write him off so quickly. Thankfully our manager loves him.

And a fit RJ is a major asset. We rightfully have concerns about his fitness but if they have got to the bottom of it and the injuries are a thing of the past then we are on to a good thing.

let SD, GK and JL do the heavy lifting till Xmas and integrate RJ into the fold when he is ready.

Until he proves otherwise people like myself will be skeptical

I’ve said repeatedly, fit Ryan Jack is a starter every single week. Say he gets injured again and misses months of football, then what?

People are right to be concerned

Gerrard loves Ryan Jack as a midfielder.
He knows that Ryan is an unselfish team player who will sacrifice his game towards the good of the tactical plan.
If you are a manager who likes his players to buy into the plan, then Ryan Jack is a dream option.

Further in the time that Gerrard and his staff have been coaching and influencing Jack, it is evident that they have had the perfect student.
Ryan is now such an improved player that he isn't just a totally different midfielder from the one signed from Aberdeen he is many times more effective.

Ryan Jack in a Rangers team going into a difficult European tie is essential to a secure defensive performance.
We missed him greatly against Slavia.
His return as a fit player will be a huge bonus to the squad.

I get it mate. No harm intended. Can't argue with his past record, I just think posters are trying to point out that past record is hopefully not going to be an indicator of how he is expected to cope post operation.

Noises are positive, maybe put down the past record stick he is being beaten with and see how he does on his return. Totally agree a fit Jack is massive for us.

We'll play someone else.

O we could just have him put down on the off chance?

On the European stage, a fit Ryan Jack make Rangers a harder team to beat.

I genuinely believe if Jack had been fit for both Prague games we'd have progressed (as long as he'd sobered up from the 55 celebrations).
