Waddell again !!!

What a utterly pathetic article.

Honestly his mother should be ashamed of him.

If cutting the away support in a old firm game is such a 'wrong' thing to do (no laughing at the back) then why to the tims excape criticism?

They are doing the same after all, all the have is the childish excuse that we 'are doing it first'.

An all so predictable article from that Rangers hating blimp, coupled with the usual “youse ur skint, ye cannae even afford Skrtel ..”

He should worry less about our decisions to put our fans first, and worry more about his own cholesterol levels, the fat fuck.

If he really wanted to show that he was all for bridge building he’d have written an article criticising the SFA for dreaming up a charge against Rangers because they couldn’t get one to stick.

Thats the reason Rangers are raging, and rightly so, but Waddell wants us to be a punch bag forever.

I would honestly be more surprised if they didn't write another negative Rangers story. It's getting boring, repatative and as one sided as a flounder

If Level 5 were doing their job properly they would be looking at all this arseholes previous articles over past few years to see if he has been as critical of the Tims

I don’t buy papers but I’ve never seen any on FF that are negative views on the Tims penned by the cretin. It’s usually hatred of all things Rangers

If it’s a total one way tirade against Rangers then we should tell him and his rhag that they are no longer welcome

Time for Level 5to start earning their money and do something about these constant attacks

It’s funny how both Hibs and Aberdeen cut our allocation and that was fine, we cut there’s and it’s terrible. What’s the difference?

Also, bridge building and fence mending didn’t really come into their thoughts in 2012 when they were all desperate for their pound of flesh did it?

I thought under section I24 in the SPFL’s own charter Home clubs keep all Home gate receipts. Therefore Waddell’s assertion that we were doing it because we are in dire need of cash is both spiteful and entirely erroneous. In fact theoretically aren’t we taking a risk of losing revenue if our own fans don’t take up their right to said seats?

If so it hardly smacks of desperation for the cash and more to do what is right for our support in offering them the opportunity to buy said tickets up front as season tickets or in the build up to the match.

Either way we were always getting the cash!

I24 Subject to Rules I25 and C26 the entire gate receipts of all League Matches and Play-Off Matches (including abandoned or replayed League Matches and Play-Off Matches) shall be retained by the Home Club.

They are all furious that we went and gone and actually done it! We have had the audacity to want to house our own support in our stadium...shock horror!

Our support have been treated like crap by them for years at their dump and yet not a peep from the mhedia..wonder Why eh!

Last season the tramps came to our magnificent stadium and their behaviour was yet again a disgrace with a young bear being injured due to their thuggery so, are we meant to just allow this and say and do nothing?

It must be wonderful to be able to write utter pish and still get paid for it.

Is this turd not a Dundee utd fan? If so you would think his main focus would be the threat of oblivion for a once decent club wrecked by bitterness. Let's recall how Dundee utd treat away fans.

He's a Falkirk fan that hates the old firm in "equal measure"

A diet Yahoo just like Spence

Also the insistence of removing Liewells lackie, does anyone remember Hugh Dallas getting his jotters for cracking a joke.

Let’s hope more comes out of history where other members of the SFA have made statements against us.

We have tried to be diplomatic and got nowhere, the compliance officer bringing up charges was the final straw.

The key word here, which has become a favourite of our hacks, is ‘hypocrisy’. Apparently we’re hypocrites for complaining about the Hibs ticketing and then doing something similar. You’d think these guys, with their English A levels, would understand this isn’t hypocrisy - it’s simply complying with a precedent which was accepted by all as OK.

Let me give a few examples of hypocrisy -

‘Journalists’ who make a living banging on about the horror and poison of an Old Firm game suddenly declaring it a most precious commodity and one that must be preserved at all costs.

Rangers being portrayed as bigots while huge banners calling us scum are ignored

A Rangers supporting child bottled- nothing said - yet we’re supposed to fear for Celtic fans lives for absolutely no reason.

Rangers being urged to show financial prudence yet slandered when they don’t meet excessive wage demands from over the hill players.

I could go on, but the dogs need walking - suffice to say the day these pathetic media clowns are happy with our behaviour is the day we take up cricket. To use their own parlance they’re hypocrites to a man.

1. Waddell and his ilk are clearly hurting.
2. Him and his ilk are utterly irrelevant.
3. He really doesn't do irony does he. Mentions building bridges yet he and his ilk have done nothing but put the boot into us for years.

There was a time when I was at least slightly interested in the good of Scottish football as a whole and the perception of our football club within it. But those days are long since gone. The hating and demonisation of our club by so many for so long has well and truly put paid too that.

wanker Waddell thinks we drop 5000 supporters when the scum are not wrecking seats and hurting children, thinks its ok for junkie hivs that attacked us to be housed in the same stand but not up the security . thinks we need scum money.

to the dickhead media reading this, when you see wanker Waddell ask him why would Rangers supporters not turn up at Ibrox just because we have moved scum to corner where they should be and i hope this season we tell Hivs we only want the same number of tickets as our last visit to keep the rest.

Building bridges was never going to happen when scum kept stealing the first brick laid and kept throwing it back at us, its our bricks and now we are throwing them at you and your kind, next on the list take the media to task and ban them from Ibrox.

Hope you have plenty pain killers as this season is your nightmare, we are back and you know it.

Let's get this straight. Waddell says Rangers have reduced Celtic's allocation to bring more cash in because we're skint. If that's the case, what's wrong with that? There isnt a club in the land that wouldn't do that. Not 1. No comment on leaving 1000s of seats unsold the way Hibs/Aberdeen etc do by locking Rangers fans out as they see it as an advantage to us. Working class guys just wanting to support their team, less money through the tills and an embarrassment for Scottish football due to the empty seats shown on national tv. Of course, this is never mentioned by the media. I find the lack of parity and lazy, biased journalism quite sad. His articles are boring, repetitive, unbalanced and uninspiring. Hus work modus operandi seems to be: get a negative slant on Rangers, write hatchet job, Repeat. Is this what the Mail has become? Will never buy this paper again.

I believe he is a genuine Falkirk fan.
I work in Falkirk, when I first went there a few years ago I couldn’t believe how many bears there is there. And I think that’s what gets guys like Waddell, I know others like him, they don’t like Celtic either but they hate us because they have a crap support due to the majority of the locals support us.

File under ignore! He will always be a big fat sectarian moron obsessed with our club and it’s wonderful supporters! His editor has to ask - why does he care so much! The majority of the classless throbbers that support his club are like him - worried that very soon Rangers will be back winning trophies. With the Boards new tougher stance on all things and Stevie G at the helm - we cannot go anywhere but up the way!

LETS GO!!

See the thing is, these scumbag biased wan*s have an agenda and it’s plain for all to see - said it yesterday about wee greetin sutton.
Rangers should come out with all the examples of the biased media about exhuberance, what’s sectarian and worth writing about and what isn’t, what’s good for the clubs fans and what it isn’t.
At the end of the piece they finish on “No one likes us, we don’t care”.

The journalists at the rhecord know they are part of one of the most embarrassing subpar amateur media outlets in the world and they jump on the ceptic bandwagon to try and stay relevant, it doesn’t work, they are still wan*s at the end of the day.

Sellick propaganda. If this type of one sided bias weren't so serious it would be funny. The only thing I agree with is the need for us to build a winning team. We do so and sustain winning for a couple of seasons and their propaganda is fecked. The mhedia not liking us growing a set makes me feel like we are making the right moves.

The mhanky bastard's are really really hurting.

What's not to like about that?

Well done Stewart Robertson. We get more Rangers Season Tickets sold.

Well done The Rangers Board. We get more money to build that winning team he talks about.

Well done The Rangers Support.

The greatest weapon feared by our enemies is our loyalty!

Given it is very likely that the media scum log on here or read FF as well as other RFC forums they must know that the majority of fans do not want these animals in our stadium. No one I know has any issue with this they all like me are 100% behind it.

More dross being spewed up by a talentless gutter writer, for a decaying tabloid.

It grips my shite, that these fvctard hacks seem to think they are some sort of football standards authority, when in fact all they really are, is a group of below par, failed news reporters who can’t get a gig on a proper sporting platform...... fortunately, the end is nigh for them.

Only in Scotland would a club get slaughtered for selling 5k more season tickets.

We play football in a rancid little country that hates us.

800 of mhutant stench is is 800 too many. Well done Rangers, a boot in the baws to all the usual hypocritical arseholes. What alcohol does some folks green and grey matter

The new rangers board come to power and decide that reconciliation is the best way forward . What happens ?

Gordon Waddell and his colleagues hound Chris graham over a daft Twitter picture and force his resignation .

But somehow it’s now different now that a self confessed Tim has been caught doing similar ?

Celtic fans hang effigies of dead rangers fans at the piggery and have been taking liberties when invited to Ibrox , but we should move our own support to accommodate them ?

That’s not how things work Gordon , and I hope the Rangers board continue to go after the haters .

The media needs to be next on our hit list.

To long have they been allowed to write utter shite about us.

It is time to turn detective on them and start trawling though their personal life, find the dirt, get them followed, watch their every move and then blow the whistle on them.

Cheating on wife’s, drugs, rent boys whatever we can find to try and ruin not only their careers but the lives.

Time to take the gloves off and fight dirty

That will be the “building bridges” phase of Rangers’ return to football civilisationover then, eh?

So much for the promised reintegration and reconciliation.

They’re back on the front foot, on the offensive, playing to the gallery the only way they know how – and it’s a pretty unedifying sight.

The question is, though, how naive do you have to be to buy this week’s smoke-and-mirrors operation?

The answer, it appears from the reaction, is “Just the right amount…”

On the surface, the sentiment of making sure their own supporters come first is laudable.

But this isn’t really about that. Nor is it really about the Old Firm game.

It’s about money and how they can get their hands on more of it now.

In a week where they’ve been totally embarrassed by a false-flag pursuit of Martin Skrtel, a player they could never afford but courted anyway, then claimed they hadn’t to save face, it’s clear they need cash and in a hurry.

By cutting Celtic’s allocation from 8,000 to 800, they lose out on 7200 x £50, twice a season, a decent lift when the up-front fans’ dough has long gone.

However, if they think they can sell 5000 more season tickets in that stand by riding the Steven Gerrard tsunami, bringing in a couple of million quid now, it makes financial sense for them in the short term, especially if they don’t have any other sources of instant funding to get their new boss what he wants.

What about the long-term consequences though?

Three things worth contemplating about their decision. Firstly, we’re constantly being told their derby is the single biggest selling point we have when it comes to global perception and TV deals. So what does destroying the fabric of it do to it as a Scottish football asset?

My colleagues in the Daily Record were debating it on Friday and one made the point that El Clasico survives just fine without away fans.

Of course it does because it’s one of the best games in the world. They could play it in a swamp and it would still be one of the best games in the world because they have 22 of the best players in the world.

Rangers and Celtic have none of the best players in the world. The game’s notoriety, its infamy, its legend, is built entirely on its blood-curdling mayhem. Take that away and what are you left with?

Part two of it is the hypocrisy. It’s barely five weeks since Rangers were spluttering with more Statement-based indignation at Hibs cutting their allocation at Easter Road.

“First and foremost Rangers hopes the safety of our fans, who will now be in only one section of the South Stand rather than filling it completely, will not be compromised by this decision, which beggars belief.”

So what about the safety of Celtic fans in that little Trivial Pursuit-sized wedge of Ibrox between the Broomloan and the Sandy Jardine stands?

It’s an unpleasant enough experience in there as a Falkirk fan or one of any other diddy club, without the 10x magnification of hostilities their rivals bring out.

Can’t imagine the police will be thrilled at the idea of escorting 800 sandwiched-in Celtic supporters at the start and end of a 5-0 pumping.

And the third thing is the tit for tat. They’ll say they don’t care but what if they’re bang in contention and suddenly have to go Celtic Park to win the league? You think Rangers fans will think it’s a great decision then?

It’s disappointing Celtic responded in kind but they were damned if they did and damned if they didn’t – and the “didn’t” bit would have come from their own fans, a PR hit they maybe rightly weren’t prepared to take. They can live the rest of us seeing it as petty and small-minded.

In amongst all that nonsense, you’ve also got the Gary Hughes debacle with the SFA.

The Record broke the story in midweek that 12 years ago, in a trade publication when the self-confessed Celtic-supporter and now-SFA board member was in the publishing business, he referred to Rangers fans as “the great unwashed”.

The club’s indignation was Statement manna from heaven, demanding suspensions and enquiries into the man they’ve always suspected deep down was a Peter Lawwell place-man, despite the need for his independence as a non-executive director, there to hold all the vested interests of the others in check.

Another two things here – one, spare me the faux outrage over the language used.

For two clubs who sit around in glass houses lobbing boulders, in the grand Old Firm lexicon, calling rival fans “the great unwashed” is as close to clean football banter as the pair of them ever get in their vile world of sectarian poison.

Two, though, is where they have him over a barrel and the SFA will ultimately be left with no choice. It’s not that Hughes isn’t allowed a past – and God knows this is far enough back in it – or to support a team but they’ll be trotting this out every time there’s a decision goes a way they don’t like and claiming it’s tainted by the presence of “an enemy of the club”.

If his independence is compromised then so is his role.

None of this is winning Rangers any friends, nor do they or their PR operation care.

The diplomacy of two years ago, of Stewart Robertson and Paul Murray talking fence-mending and contrition as their journey neared completion is gone, replaced by Trump-esque bluster and confrontation.

You’d think they’d learn at some point that the only statement they really need to make is to build a winning team. Anything else is just noise.
to quote mr. marshall, the scottish media scum are "as predictable as they are pathetic"

Another one who misses the point that (a) Hibs changed the allocation rules during the season and (b) didn’t sell out their tickets for the other areas of the ground (watch the video and spot the gaps in the stands) so like the play offs this was done just to reduce the number of Rangers supporters.

And (c) even if we only sell 5k season tickets for the Broomie, we’ll still sell out the other 2K on for the OF games, so we get the cash anyway.

And finally, McCann started this when he sold season tickets for half of the traditional Rangers end at Hampden when they played there, then did the same at Porkheid, meaning all away supporters were in the corner out of TV shot

The article is complete nonsense except the bridge building but. Now time to start taking some down behind us.
We are on our own and will never get help which was evident when on our knees several years ago.
Him and his ilk are actually helping divide us and the fool does not realise it because of his hated of Rangers.
Enough is enough and it is the best news in years that we do not have to sit down with thousands of our enemies in our own house.
Well played Rangers.
Rangers first- always

So much for the promised reintegration and reconciliation.

The reintegration, reconciliation and fence mending ended when the SFA cobbled together another attempt to find Rangers guilty of something, well anyhing to satisfy the manky moonhowlers.
Drawing a line in the sand cost Rhegan his job, and his replacement immediately initiated another attack on Rangers.
Rangers have given notice that they are now prepared to go to war, and I like it.

The simple fact is that all bridges were burned when we were sent to the bottom league.

Many smaller clubs welcomed us with open arms and are still living of the extra revenue that the Blue Pound brought.

Those on high still looked and laughed as we climbed the ladder again.

Then the penny dropped. We were approaching and have a big score to settle.

Now we are in the ring, the gloves are off and they are all screaming out for help - just like a confronted bully isolated from his backers.

Give each and every one of them nothing.

See on this matter I was told we got wind that horrible mob were gony do this to us and we done it first to get it right up them .

Rangers aren't going to be the tabloid punchbag anymore.
These licenced keyboard slappers like to poke at Rangers' wounds, but bite back when enough is enough ?
No likey, eh ?

Laughable.

But it’s all summed up by two things for me.

1- nothing was said by the impartial media when hibs and Aberdeen done similar. In fact Aberdeen done it for precisely the same reason in the south stand as their own fans with STs were fed up being short changed via rangers and Celtic. Fair enough.

2- all fans in Scotland hate that we are even remotely back. If he is a Falkirk fan he is probably in this position. I had a plastic whistle fan in Work comment on us “spending money you don’t have” last year. His argument was all fine and well until I pointed out we had just sold 40,000 season tickets and 40,000 @£400 was £16m. We were supposed to die and they hate that we didn’t.

Waddell we know you read this so , where was your outrage at Aberdeen, Hearts, Hibs Dundee United and Motherwell when each of them cut both ours and Celtics allocation over the years,?

I’m sure you would have written about them in the same venom as you have written today or did I miss this ?

If Rangers don’t sell the extra season Tickets your on about do you honestly think the seats will lie empty at the Celtic games ? Considering we filled the stand nearly every home game do you think Rangers fans will stop going in support of letting Celtic have the whole stand?

Mr Waddell your article is both misleading and utter pish.
