Trivial importance in the grand scheme of things, but there were 11 different nationalities from the 14 who played tonight.
Has there ever been 11 different countries represented by Rangers in the one game?

McGregor Scotland
Tavernier, Goldson, Edmundson, Kent England
Barisic Croatia
Davis Northern Ireland
Kamara Finland
Arfield Canada
Aribo Nigeria
Morelos Colombia
Kamberi Albania
Hagi Romania
Polster USA
 
Only if you count their football nationalities, not their birth nationalities.

Arfield - Scottish
Aribo - England

But Hagi was born in Istanbul and Kamberi in Switzerland.
 
Bizarrely dh1963 the last time we played Leverkusen at Ibrox ZDF TV presented the Rangers team with flags for each country and made a point of mentioning the countries - 8 i think

As far as UEFA will be concerned, it's their football nationality that counts.

If you want to go by birthplace, Terry Butcher was Chinese and Richard Gough was Swedish!

Colin Jackson in London, not forgetting the Goalie and Stuart McCall

They got that wrong though it was only 7 nationalities







Niemi was Scottish :)
