Was a bit busy yesterday but it was an eventful day in Italy as it was here.

Milan 2-1 Genoa
Atalanta 1-0 Juventus
Bologna 4-1 Spezia
Lazio 5-3 Benevento
Torino 3-1 Roma
Napoli 1-1 Inter

Atalanta take 3rd spot from Juve after leaving it late to take the home win over the Bianconeri.

Lazio v Benevento looked eventful to say the least

Caught the last half hour or so of Torino and Roma. Torino well worthy of the win and a big win for them too that takes them to 15th place.

Napoli held Inter to a draw after going ahead with a bizarre own goal. Eriksen with a well taken equaliser but Napoli should have had a penalty near the end. VAR looked to have strengthened the case but not given.

Some midweek action for Serie A this week in round 32. It all started last night with Fiorentina picking up a 2-1 win at Verona.

Tonight sees a further 7 games. Milan Red *ahem* will host Sassuolo in the early evening kick off. The Rossoneri currently sit 9 points behind neighbours Milan Blue (aka Inter). The title is out of reach but Milan will be looking to lock in the 2nd spot at least.

Of the evening games, it's more lower table orientated. Bologna host Torino. Both teams won at the weekend, the home side winning 4-1 over Spezia whilst Torino picked up something of a shock win at home to Roma to take them 5 points clear of the relegation zone. Speaking of relegation, Crotone host Sampdoria. The home side are all but gone and have been for some time whilst Samp will be looking to stay on course for a top 10 finish. City rivals Genoa welcome Benevento to the Luigi Ferraris Stadium. Genoa perhaps not quite out of the woods just yet whilst Benevento were on the wrong side of a 5-3 epic at the weekend with Lazio - that result (could with the aforementioned Torino win putting them into 17th place on goal difference.

The remaining 3 games of the evening Turin Calcio (aka Juventus) play Parma at home. An uneventful week for the Bianconeri off the field whilst on the field they lost to Atalanta last time out. Likewise Parma blew it in injury time at home to Cagliari to lose 3-4 - a massive dent to their hopes of survival. Inter travel to Spezia after dropping points at Napoli last Sunday night whilst Spezia are without a win in their last 7 games. Finally we have Udinese host Cagliari. 12th placed Udinese have hopes of a top 10 finish whilst 18th place Cagliari gave themselves a glimmer of hope after their last gasp win at Parma last Saturday.

Fixtures in full;

Milan v Sassualo 5.30pm
Bologna v Torino 7.45pm
Crotone v Sampdoria 7.45pm
Genoa v Benevento 7.45pm
Juventus v Parma 7.45pm
Spezia v Inter 7.45pm
Udinese v Cagliari 7.45pm

Milan leading 1-0, good finish by Hakan.

Bit of pressure on Inter tonight, still fancy them to win 2-0:

Hopefully a chastened Inter, the club not team, put this aberration behind them, though the statement on the club website was a bit too corporate speak for me.

As for the team, I'm fairly confident that they'll get the job done tonight.

Milan looking a lot less secure than they were with Juve winning now. Still think they will get top 4 though.

I still have the whole PTSD that Inter will Inter this, 10 points ahead with 18 to play for....surely not.

Milan 1-2 Sassualo
Bologna 1-1 Torino
Crotone 0-1 Sampdoria
Genoa 2-2 Benevento
Juventus 3-1 Parma
Spezia 1-1 Inter
Udinese 0-1 Cagliari

Cagliari gaining some ground on Torino and Benevento after tonight's results

Ronaldo once again getting stick for a less than glorious attempt whilst in a wall ....

The final two fixtures of round 32 take place tonight and we have a couple of games with European implications.

The early evening game takes place at the Olimpico in Rome as home side Roma will take on Atalanta. The Giallorosso went down to Torino last weekend and would probably rather have not faced Atalanta tonight. The Bergamo side buoyed by their win over Juventus last week and will be looking get another result with Roma's record against the top sides not being great this season. Going into tonight Roma currently sit in 7th, 4 points off a Europa spot whilst Atalanta are in 4th and the final Champions League place. Tonight's result wouldn't see changes as far as the rankings are concerned but both teams will be keeping an eye on the evening game..

Said evening game sees Napoli host Lazio, 5th against 6th. Both sides occupy the Europa spots as things stand but both sides still have aspirations of CL football next season and we can expect both to be going all out to get that crucial win. A win for Napoli coupled with an Atalanta loss would see the Neopolitans into 4th place whilst a Lazio win would see them leapfrog their hosts into 5th place - with a game in hand to boot.

Tonight's games;

Roma v Atalanta 5.30pm
Napoli v Lazio 7.45pm

In the box Ilicic receives a pass on the reverse, and to my shock he shoots with his right foot but it’s easily saved by Lopez.

Zapata plays a ball across the 6 yard box, Muriel curls it wide. It’s a horrible miss.

Absolute sitter, I happen to have a fiver on him next goal....

Anyone else see that passage! Incredible. One team think they should have a penalty only for one to be given against them!

Sadly not watching (darts is on) but I can genuinely only remember Insigne missing one penalty, sadly it was probably the most important (Juve in the cup).
