27 years ago today

What a strike. I remember me and two of my teenage mates trashing his room when that flew in. Great memories.

Not from memory.

Marseille hit the woodwork in the first half.
I think we were under the cosh a wee bit in the first half.
I also think that was the norm in a Europe!
Like you, I can’t remember us having what you’d call a real chance.

My first euro away game, stayed in a wee place called orange the night before the game, wee marseille ultra going ahead with 4 bus load of pissed rangers fans, got about 3 bottles over his head, wandered away, came back about 10 minutes later wanting to go ahead again, guy was a maniac

The McCoist Hateley partnership was deadly that season and yet McCoist was injured for the home game against Marseille and Hateley was suspended for the away game.

History could have been completely different if they both played in at least one of those games together.

Did we have any chances after that to win the game? Only seen the goal was only a young chap at that time

I have a memory of Huistra having a half chance quite near the end. Not a sitter but he could have scored.

Durrant was immense in Europe that year.
If Davie Robertson had just let the ball go out for a throw.
