A Bear gone - My Dad

Don’t know if these post are still allowed.

My dad William Walker passed away yesterday.

A life long Rangers fan, born in 1951 he was fortunate enough to see us through all the ups and downs of the last 70 years.

A well kent face on supporters busses leaving from Stirling he would travel on the Plean, Dunblane and Cowie supporters busses.

His favourite players were often the least expected, of the recent crop he absolutely loved Katic and Sakala, he had a mad notion that they would be an excellent big man / little man strike force. He had a short stint as a followfollow member in the early 2010’s but quit because he said “they talk some nonsense on there”. B-D

He first took me to Ibrox to see Davie Coopers testimonial and I was hooked ever since. I’ll be lost at the first game of next season when I have no one to phone after the game.

He moved to Arbroath in 1998 to get off the drink and lived out his days by the seaside tee total for nearly 25 years, he turned his life around and threw himself into his local Church of Scotland.

RIP Dad.
RIP fellow Bear
Lived a life one day at a time.
