A lot of blocking on Twitter yesterday.

I am a great Twitter user for various discussians including football, music ,ect , yesterday I spent about an hour unfollowing dozens of people throughout Scotland, guys who I thought were decent human beings suddenly became bigots and hate us, maybe I'm a bit naive but I didn’t realise how hated we are even by people outside of football.

Done the same, lost a lotta respect for some lazy stereotyping from people I had thought more of. That they would use such language knowing I’m a fan and including me in with it is not on. Twitter is meant to be entertainment. If people’s posts pull you down or anger you get them muted or blocked

I only keep Twitter , Instagram and Facebook accounts open so that I can see football related stuff that’s posted on them . It’s annoying when something is posted and you can’t access it . If it wasn’t for that I’d happily delete all three .

i only follow rangers fans and rangers stuff and i mute words i have no interest in seeing like celtic , SNP ect it makes it so much better to use , some of the threads i was reading last night especially the just us tims threads i was actually in tears of laughter

Delete Twitter.

It will help your mental health immensely.

It wasn't going in a great direction anyway, but I'm genuinely convinced that Twitter has shot the knees out from society's ability to have civil discussions.

Everything is split into sides, there's no space for nuanced discussion, and the vast majority of weapons on there are playing to the gallery for digital likes, which inevitably pushes opinions out to the most extreme.

I genuinely don't understand why anyone uses twitter, I've never had an account but it just looks like poison.

It's great if it's used positively.
Nice to see the celebratory side of our title win etc.

Unfortunately you have too many opinionated fools, who would otherwise never find a voice, being spurred on by other idiots and then taking the huff when they get called out on their nonsense.

When you got on to that more negative side of things it's just rampant bullying and misinformation and abuse based on lies.

On that negative side of things it's basically a digital school playground populated by adults who haven't quite grown up. Gossip. Lies. Bullying. Tantrums. Grassing.

It has pretty much taught people that discussion is coming up with a snappy one liner and then using it to "win" the conversation.

Back when I was on there I had a friend who said Nigel Farage was a "Pound shop Enoch Powell" and about five or six times over the next couple of weeks she kept retweeting herself and saying "quite proud of this one" obviously picking up a lot of "likes". The thing is that actually it was Russel Brand who used the phrase a few months earlier on TV. When I pointed this out? Blocked, of course.

You can see it now with our recent celebrations. All these complete @rseholes trying to see who can come up with the either the most outraged or the most "witty" tweet to get one over on our supporters.

As others have said, there is no way the SNP, Police Scotland and Rangers don't have direct lines of communication with each other. Yet you've got all these politicians using Twitter to make their point. Why?

Look at Sturgeon. Why the f*ck is she making her points to Rangers on the Twitter platform?
Does she even know who runs the Rangers twitter account and what kind of influence they might even have at the club.
Our Twitter page is for promoting the club.
Not public safety announcements and certainly not to answer on behalf of fans.
It's just grandstanding because she congratulated Rangers and her followers took a huff so she had to come back out with "strong words".

I have never had a twitter account, click on some links here, kerryfail etc just for a giggle.
But it seems to me people are unable to show basic class and manners on twitter,it all seems very un British, it has it's good points obviously.
But the negative seems more to the fore.

Absolute tsunami of hatred, nailing their colours to the mast and joining the shark frenzy. Just can't help themselves.

Fantastic post mate, and this is a very good point as well.

It is no longer okay to just be annoyed at something, but understand it. You have to be outraged, and the more outraged you are the more likes and re-tweet you get from people who want to show their own outrage. And from there on down as you say it becomes a competition on who can outdo everyone else, and get as many likes/re-tweets from the hive mind as possible.

An absolute cesspit, and unfortunately the consequences of it don't stay on Twitter any more, because now every politician and media personality is playing to the Twitter gallery at all times, knowing the words will find their way back to the writhing mass of hysterical luvvies.

I responded to one of them on Twitter, who was taking the piss out of Hagi in both his skill set and appearance, I simply pointed out that with the looks of his profile picture, he can hardly criticise the looks of others, no swearing, no abuse, he reported me, and I got a 5 day ban, it’s what they do.

On a side note I’m on stand down from work (2 on- 4 off) at the moment and yesterday I turned my work’s mobile on for messages from the weekend and on top of my work messages also had 5 from people congratulating Rangers on winning the league. These are people who know how far Rangers have come and said what a stitch up it was when the shit hit the fan in 2012. I’m in London and they all support teams down south, no agenda, just an appreciation of how far we’ve come.

A banger in my work made a couple of comments on Sunday and yesterday. Now Ive not seen this nationalist prick yet.But I won’t miss the cu*t when I bump into him.He is vile little turd who likes to spout a load of shit in a bothy for all to hear. But im looking forward to bumping into him soon.

There are many who hate what we stand for and we have become the relatively silent majority.
This weekend gave us a voice and we literally showed our colours on the streets of Natzi Schottland.
They hated seeing us out there celebrating.

I see folk on there who have no interest in football, who proudly declare themselves as 'woke', respectful of all creeds and cultures, pronouns in their bio - and yet, come this weekend, 'hun' was fair game to them. Beyond hypocritical.

Have you been on the moon for the last 10 years?

Wake up and smell the coffee Amigo. You're very naive.

Its not only sport, its ALL walks of life.

FFS mate, have you been in a coma or suspended animation since 2012?
Naive doesn't even come close to covering it if you have to ask.
Those dirty feckers came close to shutting our club down through their sneaky conspiracy involving papists in all walks of Scottish society.
Understand that these bastards hate us with a venom - every last one of the feckers, and even the ones who have not the slightest interest in football, and that suits me down to the ground as I hate them at least as much. This isn't just supporters of a fitba team we are up against, but an extension of the vatican cult who have been hating, victimising and alienating any opposition as they see it for over 2000 years now.
That's twenty centuries of brain-washing and blind obedience to an organisation that harbours paedophiles by the thousands world-wide and backs terrorists murdering and maiming law abiding citizens of this nation.
Wise up.

Social media could be dangerous for some bears with pics and videos going about. I know of a few mentally challengeds that have sent pics and videos to employers trying to get some bears sacked. See anyone that tries to get someone else sacked is nothing but absolute fucking trash in my opinion

The ***s will stop at nothing, they are organised and specialise in attacking and demonising mob-handed anyone they take offence at. I despise their cult and them collectively.

Its funny how when they were winning everything at a canter a few ghuys would say Rangers were unlucky or tried to play well etc...As soon as we show ourselves to be a far better team, the mask suddenly slips and we only win with the refs help, dodgy penalties, helped by the SFA etc, etc.

I so hope from here on in, they go on a downward spiral that they never ever recover from.

I used it years ago but binned it very quickly, its permeated by mentally challengeds, plastic terrorists, handwringers, apologists and the just plain fvcking boring.

Mostly a bastion of the pathetic talking about things they'll never do in places they'll never go. A narcissistic, egotistical cesspit of humanity craving unwarranted attention.

Up until this year, I didn't buy the conspiracy/ favoritism argument. After the last few days and comparing the reaction of MPs to their reactions to similar gatherings it is hard for one not to view the treatment of us as biased. Had they been as quick to lambast black lives matter, Celtic riots, Celtic fans welcoming their team, or even demanded that action be taken for their Dubai trip then I would be sitting here arguing that the actions of our fans merit the reaction.

Let's not forget, we are in the middle of a pandemic, and crowd gatherings were a bad idea which is why I didn't join the scenes. I had the same reaction to this as I had to most other gatherings and that is to say well most of these people have been sat in their house for lengthy periods of times and they are going to make mistakes, especially when the governing body in the country flout the rules to go visit family or to travel the length of the country on a train while knowingly having the virus.

The government has had umpteen opportunities to show us just how serious this is but instead engaged in self-serving politics and told us "people make mistakes".

I'm putting the brakes on before I type out a full-blown dissertation on the matter - there is a serious issue in Scotland and the events of the weekend and also the report into child abuse has highlighted that to me more than anything else has been able to in the past.

Yeah I only made my account the other day so I could see and like the tweets shared on here. I made a comment yesterday and then wasn't back on until this morning and have replies saying don't I have children to be looking after, and someone saying yeah I feel sorry for her waens. Yeah writing a tweet yesterday then not being back on twitter for a day = total neglect of a 10 and 6 year old. Dont know how my poor boys survived it. Strange, strange people.
