Sickening, one thing for certain is that afterthis whole investigation and enquiry, and coming out of these horrific trials is that this MUST never ever ever happen again.
Retrospective action, victim compensation absolutely. Religious groups, sporting groups held accountable. But the main thing from this despicable blight in Scottish society must not be allowed to happen ever again

Agreed but let's start by closing down the epicentre of paedophilia in Scottish football, Celtic FC.

Despite the separate reports on all the different cases in the news over the past several months - there remains no desire to produce any quality articles that focus a SPOTLIGHT on the horrendous scale of this scandal.

I'm surely not the only one that believes the narrative is being completely controlled (by that sordid entity from the east of the city) with the sole aim of avoiding what's always been required to expose the full scale of all these crimes - a full and independent investigation.

Until that happens (and it won't) justice will never come.

So much evidence now suggesting that there was a paedophile ring at that club yet it seems not just the SNP,but the whole of Scottish politics would rather it just went away.

Burns friendship with the beastly Cairney doesn't sit right with me.

I knew big william gilbert and his wife' she was something else' if i remember right at the time of his first trial she was letting him stay in her house' if this is not a case of grooming with her son i dont know what is!!!

It would appear that leopards cannot change their spots. Cover up, deny, deflect, same shit from the same shit club just a different decade. We can only hope that justice is eventually done.

I'm hoping that the silence we are hearing and seeing from the MSM is because many of these cases are still sub judice. Following their conclusion there should be a shitstorm of publicity around this and the footballing authorities will surely, at that point, have to become involved.

I've raged at this for years, posted loads of info and from the police, to legal system to government in Scotland, this is stitched up.

We are in a dark, sinister country.

It's like modern technology doesn't exist here and the story isn't getting out the country.

They are Scotland’s shame.
Child abuse is a heinous crime. Covering up the crime is tantamount to being complicit in the abuse. The open secret at CFC is dark and sinister and needs to be investigated thoroughly.

Correct Alex. Torbett was found and arrested in said house, the boys mother claimed at the time "he's not that sort of person, he wouldn't do that." This was 2 years after her husband had topped himself because of what Torbett was up to with their son.

It's all so difficult to understand why some people turn a blind eye to things like that. A bit like how our Government are behaving if truth be told, maybe they think by doing nothing, sweeping it all under the carpet if you like, it will eventually blow over, a form of denial I reckon. It's just so wrong.
 
This is one of the reasons why nothing is being done,it's their way of controlling the agenda from their placemen in the media,politicians, S.F.A. and the Judiciary.

Are the authorities in this country afraid it could lead to civil unrest is that the reason for their silence.
At the end of this should it be shown that this was not just a local but international Paedophile ring the only answer is to revoke their football licence in the name of Sporting Morality.

Jack McGinn and Kevin Kelly should be under arrest, along with everyone else who turned a blind eye. Celtic should be stripped of all honours won during the period of this cover up.

It's more than disturbing, when you look at all the connections, Neil Strachan secretary of the boys club in Edinburgh, part of the worst peadophile ring uncovered in the UK, Torbett, Cairney, both active for decades at the Club itself, King again pictured at the Club as well. Cullen caught with photographs of young boys on the club premises, but for me the murder of the young boy Laurence Haggert should be looked at again. When you read the circumstances around that boys murder and the connection Jim McCafferty had to the family you can't help but feel that something very sinister has gone on.
