Alfredo maybe saying he’s staying?

I won't post a link because it's Timmy porn but if you search for a compilation of his chances against Celtic it is really obvious that they're in his head big time.

Zero faith that he'll ever score against them
Thing is if he scored the easiest one of the lot at Ibrox, most of the rest that follow probably fly in.

I’m a little anxious as to what physical shape he’s going to turn up in. Long breaks do him zero good and he normally comes back looking heavy and slow.
He looks pretty overweight in the recent photos of his charity work

We ALL blew it this year, yes he played a part, but our failings are as a team (including staff) not just with one man

I’m glad someone said it. Morelos isn’t Rangers. Our failings, and successes, don’t lie solely at the feet of Morelos.

something clearly happened in the life of Alfredo Morelos at the start of his year, and it looked to affect him in a big way.

he didn’t become a bad player.

short memories indeed.

He's obviously the type to put the weight on easily, he will also be quarantined for 2 weeks on his arrival and that Just eat app is very tempting.

We just need to hope he shows great self motivation to be as fit as possible for the start of the campaign, he wont be short in receiving support that's for sure.

I get the feeling he is staying too. He has all the talent yet shoots himself in the foot each year and cant get the move he pretty much wants and we want for him. Would love it if he stayed and fired us on to glory, still feel he has unfinished business with that lot.

I'd love nothing more than Alfredo to stay and lift the league trophy above his head next year.
He gets right under the skin of so many and when he's firing he's our best player.

I said to someone just before LC final - if DK can greet upon resignation, then I'm greeting if we lift that trophy.... got that feeling again at the picture u paint!

At this point I would rather all parties moved on. He's had a good spell at us, and he's been unplayable at times but we've seen him let us down too often now.

In his 3 seasons with us he's had a great first half season and a bad second half to the season, and I can't say I was surprised when we came back after the winter break this year and missing the first 3 games for being suspended AGAIN and let's be honest the 2-1 win against the papes hides the fact it was a ridiculous dive - he had the chance to shoot again and he decided to do that?

I was raging with him at the girodome 18/19 when he got sent off and I was pretty much done with him at then, however to be fair he came back after the summer and had a really strong first half to the season (again) and I did change my mind.

However when he arrived back late from Colombia before the Hearts game, which was our most important game of the season at that point and our last chance of silverware then that was it for me. He was allowed to go to Colombia as he was suspended again and yeah fair enough I think it was to see his old dear who was ill but it's pretty common knowledge he was still taking the piss, and I'm sorry but I can't hack that sort of shite anymore.

I will always back any Rangers player and I think he's great at times but I think we need to put a brave face on here and try to move him on, I still think a Bournemouth or an Aston Villa for example would take a chance on him for £15m+, he would suit their style of play perfectly.

I think at this point the money we could get for him would be more beneficial to investing into the team rather than keeping him but that is just my opinion.

Personally I hope he stays and proves a lot of doubters wrong. This season's capitulation is not all down to Alfie, not by a long shot. I believe his head went down due to the poor treatment by refs and the hammer throwers targeting him specifically during games. At the time I was more disappointed in our club not offering any protection to Alfie by taking on and calling out all those with an agenda against him.
Going by what has gone on during this lockdown with Rangers taking these corrupt c unts to task then hopefully that is a sign that moving forward we won't be slow to call any obvious cheating/mistakes by refs and opposition players.
If Alfie does stay which I hope he does and he is allowed to play his game without all the nonsense that's gone before then we will have " el Buffalo" back to his devastating best IMO.

He still owes us one good full season, hopefully its the one coming then both sides can agree to a sale and he makes us a very nice profit.

Finding a striker like him without the discipline problems will be a very hard challenge.

He can't give us a full season in our eyes because we're far too reliant on him. There is basically nobody else able to chip in with enough goals to cover a bad game here and there from Alfie. He's got to be on it 100% of the time because if he isn't we struggle and he gets the blame for it.

Yes, there's been some really stupid red cards which don't help him but there have also been a few ridiculous ones along the way. Keeping him along with signing Hagi and one or two more will give us a real shot at a league we simply have to win.

I think he’ll end up staying purely because no one will pay decent money for him

If he stays, he has to buck up his ideas and cut the nonsense red cards out of his game and get back scoring so that we can cash in on him when normality returns to football

My personal preference would be for him to be sold in this window as IMO he’s had one too many red cards and let us down once too often with no signs of him being able to last a season without coming off the rails
His red card issue is firstly due to incompetent refereeing caused by the mhedia who have glee in reporting his misdemeanors and getting reaction from the compliance Liewell department.
Secondly is some have been due to simulated actions by fellow "professionals??".
Having watched many games on streams it is apparent that he would not have had so many cards as many games I watched were played by men and not so called "stars" in today's sterile games.

I believe it’s for the best that he moves on.

I don’t think we can rely on him to go through an entire season without more daft red cards that lead to suspensions and loss of form.

If we can’t get a good fee for him however, we could be stuck with a player who after Xmas looked like he’d rather be anywhere else.

I think he'll leave. If the money is good I wont be too bothered. His season is very predictable- slow start, on absolute fire, then back to not being able to score in a brothel.

Our top player in Europe easily but I dont even think he was our top scorer domestically?

Defoe was.

Well said bro

You can say ...one more season

Until the first time he has a fly kick at someone and is sent off ,the gaffer has spoken to him so many times ,a strong minded healthy fit alfie is unplayable ,its the behaviour consistency that needs to change .

I dont know if he's capable

Indeed.

It's no coincidence that he's flying at the start of every season when he's had 6 weeks of intense training and practice matches. You can visibly see the weight coming off him as well when you look at the training pics and games during the summer.

He's a player that relies heavily on his fitness and he obviously isn't the most naturally fit person in the world.

We have, I suspect, a simple decision to make regarding Alfie. We sell this Summer - and the price is likely to be much less than we hoped for. We've already seen with our own renegotiation of the Hagi fee (reduced by circa 25%) that prices are likely to drop. Or we keep him, hope he keeps the head and rediscovers his pre-break form from last season, and sell for the big bucks NEXT Summer.

My own view is that we will look to sell - even at a much-reduced fee - in order to get cash in for a combination of other players and to help get through the pandemic. I'm not convinced that's the correct decision but I think it's the way it will go.

Thoughts are very much the same , whilst not convinced I just feel we could be in for more of the same by keeping him.

I wouldn’t mind if he was to be moved on this summer, I think we could end up a stronger squad if we do sell him and get the right replacements. We could also be doing without the whole Morelos media circus in this really important season.

That to me is saying thank you to SG for everything and now hes off.

I hope not, i want him to stay.

IMO well sell Alfie alone. Or Tav and Kamara for dosh. Not all of them.

I don't think for a minute that Tav is going anywhere - which will have a few on here raging. If we are prepared to let them go in this climate of uncertainty and, no doubt, lower-than-we-expected fees then I can see both Kamara and Morelos moving on. Ross Wilson did remarkably well on the Hagi fee, lets hope he can work his 'magic' on incoming fees as well.

On a side note, international flights from Colombia - and a few other countries in your neck of the woods - are banned until 1 September. At least. Do you know if private charter flights are permitted, for example? Just wondering how Alfie is going to get back.

As far as I know there are still flights. A lot less than normal. Some routes are just doing one or two flights a week.
You could probably still get private charter flights. Depends on how much you want to pay. Hed have to hop to different countries before getting to Glasgow.

We may need to sell all of them to get what we would have previously on Alfie alone.
I dont think wed need that much money yet. If we got say 10 million in sales Tav and Kamara, add that to ST money etc etc wed be in a good position.
Keep Alfie another season, Id be happy with that.

I was only going by this, which seems to suggest no flights at all. I was hoping he'd maybe be able to get a charter to the likes of Venezuela and then on from there.

Valuing Hagi at 3m not sure we would get 10m for Tav & Kamara currently?

Blame others all you like

Refs are harsher on him without doubt but he literally hands them the opportunities on a plate to send him off

He has to buck up his ideas.

Those that make excuses for every red card for him are in denial

That’s a valid point actually.
I was thinking in normal times we’d get 13-14 million for the both.
Wishful thinking I’d hope we could raise 10 million in covid times

I clocked this last night n wondered what it was about. Would be nothing unusual to post one photo but to post 4 shaking hands and hugging the gaffer seemed to suggest something.

For what it’s worth, I don’t think this summer is the time to sell. Everyone’s stock will be down and we won’t get the money we all want for him. I’d give him another 12 months and revisit it next summer when the world is hopefully back to normal.

You’re right in what it says, I’ve just read on a CNN Spanish report that Colombia closed its borders with Venezuela on 14 th March.
Panama and Miami are popular routes when traveling in this region as well

Ross Wilson did remarkably well on the Hagi fee, lets hope he can work his 'magic' on incoming fees as well.

The current market did the "magic" on the Hagi fee, not Wilson. Morelos will never move for £20m+ in todays marked imo, he needs to be much more consistent and deliver in matches against them. 9 matches, 0 goals, 0 assists, those numbers tells a story about a player not to be trusted in high pressure games and scouts notice stuff like this.

If we can keep hold of him this summer it will have been the best piece of business the club has done in the past decade.

Make no mistake he is wanted all over Europe and many clubs will try to take their chances to get him on the cheap given the current environment.

I believe he’ll stay and fire us to 55.

I think we’ve got him for another year for some reason.

He needs to deliver for us throughout an entire campaign which he’s struggled to do.
I have that feeling too. I think he may stay for the European qualification then go. Assuming it takes place.

They have a dedicated app that is used to monitor their fitness program while being unable to train with the team but I agree we need him back so we can ensure he starts the season sharp and banging in the goals
