Alfredo Morelos just 5 more goals...

Ridiculous amount of misses? That ratio (1 in 2. whatever strikes on target) is better than the majority of strikers you could name. I agree he can't be regarded as world class yet but that's only because he hasn't produced in a top 5 league or on the international stage (yet). However, to slate the lads finishing when he's scored a goal every other game continuously for 3 seasons borders on lunacy.
Hes used the wrong stats as well, hes used the shots to shots on target ratio.

His shots to goals ratio is better than Messi, Neymar, Kane, Mbappe and Ronaldo.

Looking at those past top scorers just made me think what a great player Derek Johnstone was. It was great to see him doing the half time draw last night.

Can anyone remember the last sitter he missed cos I can't! There's been a few where he's been one on one with the keeper and could've done better but I wouldn't call them sitters

His finishing is improving, and will improve with more experience over the next few seasons. What a player he is now but 3yrs from now he will be much better again.

He's a proper footballer and as far away from the modern day robotic like footballers of today. He looks like he plays for the enjoyment of the game. Reminds me of Mols in that aspect.

Jesus. Look back. We once had Ronald de Boer and Nicica Jelavic in our championship winning ranks.

Alfie is a genuine heir to the throne.

... to pass Kris Boyd record.

With a minimum of 12 games left (11 League, 1 Scottish Cup) Alfie has already bagged 27 goals this season over all competitions.
Boyd holds the record this Millennium with 31 goals in season 2008-09.

1986-87 McCoist (38)
1977-78 Johnstone (38)

1992-93 McCoist (49)

We are watching a master at work just now, would be stunning if we could hold on to him for at least another season.
Morelos...what a player the wee man is. This thread puts into context the absolute goalscoring genius that Ally McCoist was. 49 goals in my favourite season ever.
