Amsterdam Hotels - Feyenoord trip

It was almost right opposite the Police station, which Dutch officers considered the most shitey posting in the whole of Holland.

Our reception desk was a hole in the wall wee hatch in a dingy corridor and at least our room had a window with a nice view of the slimey side of a brick building next door. My two other mates shared what was basically a cupboard with no windows at all and no toilet. :D They had to come into our room for a pish.

Anyway, I can't even remember the name of the shithole, but would definitely warn against 1 or 2 star shite on Warmoestraat :))

I stayed in the Warmoesstraat for PSV away in 2011 and had a similar
experience :oops:
 
Can’t remember the name of the hotel we have booked for feyenoord away but think it’s close enough to city centre

Stayed in the Apollo hotel there this week for the NI match, about a 10 min tram ride to city centre

It’s two pubs that are having a bash. There’s no tickets or anything like that, the square is the obvious place for everybody to congregate anyway, so there will be loads of people about there.
 
There’s 8 of us in the France hotel which is next door to molly malones. Let’s see how long they tricolours all over the pub last
 
Staying at Hoksbergen near dam square , 82 quid for a twin room for the Thursday night.
 
Amsterdam's quite a small city btw folks, and you'll get much better hotels that are still just 15-20 mins travel time to 'dam away from the area around central station and Dam.

Areas like Pijp, Jordaan, Oude-West around the area across the bridge from the Leidseplein, and Oude Zuid are really accessible for public transport and also just for walking to 'dam and likely to be safer for your valuables and less chance of getting bed bugs.

Only other person in the room is a big hairy arsed guy and I intend to be that drunk I won’t have any use for a lumber , so they can do what they want. Also a mate stayed there before said it was fine and in a great area.
 
We’re staying at the XO Hotel, Park West. About half an hour from Dam Square.
