Do clubs buy their own players as such?

Newcastle apparently want Almiron from Atlanta United for £20m...is that money for Atlanta? Or is it pooled as league income?

Just curious. Not however bi curious

Good bit of business as they bought Almiron for $8m. They certainly seem to be doing well in the Argie market, albeit Almiron is Paraguayan.

Looks like their net manager will be another Argie.

The money will go to MLS, who will divvy it up among the teams. Atlanta should get a bit more than the other clubs but there will be a stipulation on how they are to spend it. That is, if the rules are the same as when we bought Edu. TFC got more money and it was used to replace the plastic pitch with real grass (thanks Mo!).
