Anyone managed to trick a tim into admitting we’re not a new club?

I’ve noticed at work that certain Celtic fans (most of which are otherwise brand new to be fair) will deliberately avoid using the term “Old Firm” and will always say “Celtic - Rangers game” I’m assuming this is due to groupthink coming from tim forums, toeing the party line, etc.

Now we all know that no-one but the most deluded of tims actually believes we’re a new club. Even 90% of tims are just saying it as a wind up or due to above mentioned groupthink, without really believing it.

Me and another Bear from work have now decided it’ll be good sport to see who can be first to get one of them to slip up; get them to say “since yous came back up” or admitting to something recent being an extension of an old record or something like that.

Anyone managed this so far, or any good ideas to bait them with? :D

Most of them are brand new ??
Really ??
Well its my experience that most of them are scummy arse kissing grassing back stabbing rhats.
Ill only talk to them when i have to through work. I NEVER talk to them about my club and i refuse to socialize with them in any shape or form.
They are sub human in my eyes.

Fair play to the OP.

Massive respect for trying, but sadly you will never alter the mindset of a biased bigot.

They have been conditioned since birth. The groupthink you refer to is not a laughing matter. It's been a serious danger to our club for years now. It's an entire diaspora mobilised with destructive intent. Destroy us at all costs. Demonise us at every opportunity. Lie deflect and deny.

Denying our continuance is just one facet of this many tentacled organism that is called a celtc supporter.

All you're doing is giving them the chance to keep peddling this 'new club' nonsense. Might be a good idea not to converse with them.

My wife's family are from the dark side. Haven't discussed Scottish football with any of them for years. Even Spanish football is a bit of a no-go as it falls into predictable Barcelona for them and Real Madrid for me lines. Come to think of it, the English stuff falls into Liverpool for them and anybody else for me. We should probably just avoid talking to them at all - about anything.

When 55 comes you can bet they will actually try and tell us that it's the first time a club other than celtic/Rangers have won it since 1985. We're gonna have tons of crackers like that.

I have a few decent tims in my Work. Some big time home and away fans but actually admit to being embarrassed by the mindset of so many of their fans.

That said there are one or two always trying to wind me up about it but their subconscious always lets them down and they slip up repeatedly. I feel like I say every day or so “can’t have it both way. Thought we were a new club?”

Already been told this.
I reply stating how incredible it would be that a club only seven years old won its countries national league.
Won’t happen in Scotland, I continue, it’ll be title 55 for us.

I just DO NOT discuss football with them at all, I got that straightened out a few years ago.
No I don't watch anyone but rangers.
No I don't know your result from last night.
No I don't care where you came from or where your going.
I'm a rangers supporting unionist, I supported the shoot to kill in NI, I don't give a fk about you lot.
Said it all, fk them, since then it's a no go subject with me.
Simple.

I’ve yet to meet a decent yahoo yet.

They are conniving, duplicitous, obsessed, bigoted, always the victim, perverted, puddle drinking rats.

I remember in my naive youth when I worked or socialised with a timmy individual they could appear normal; put him/ her in a group situation with likeminded untermensch and it became a complete anti - Rangers/ Protestant entity.

Fortunately I don’t have to work with any now and am also in a position where I don’t have to socialise with any , outwith the odd family do.

Never, ever trust one or turn your back to them.

It'll be hilarious because the entire worlds media will report it as 55. Even the BBC will have no choice. If we thought res 12 was funny just wait till we see them try crowdfunding a LOLsuit against the SPFL.

You can’t get them to change their minds , they are obsessed by us and they have not got the intelligence either .
Best I I’ve witnessed was one of them slagging us off and when challenged he replied who eh the team you’ve just been slagging g of you half wit

Waste of time trying to trick some deluded mentalist tattie howking into admitting the truth. It's not in their genes to see fact before brainwashed gobbeldegook. They are best left alone to simmer until the big bang when we win the league for 55.Really really looking forward to it.

If I'm honest I have worked with 1 or 2 who aren't as delusional as the rest- but even they used to get stick from their own kind
They really are a are a very strange bunch
They are more obsessed with us than support their own team and seem to know more about our game on a Monday morning than they do their own
I remember a man u fan at work asking who their next game was against - & not one of them knew - which started an argument among themselves

I once got asked at work by a nutural (golf was his sport), in the presence of Timothy. "So where do yous stand, are Rangers a new club?" Timothy came out with the predictable sh1te, no old firm, ranjurs deed, liquidation. Typical run of the mill sevcoing. I respond with what I always do. By not arguing against, I simply state the best way to get your answer is to ignore all the irrelevant opinions of fans and the people who dont matter. See what the governing bodies of football have decided to get the truth (UEFA, FIFA, SPFL etc).. Then sit back relax and watch them fizz. For added entertainment you can also use the following:

The day after Aberdeen beat us at Ibrox at the end of the season I banged into a lad I knew who is a don's fan , " well Billy ye chuffed ? " .... " Oh aye delighted " he replied.......so quick as a flash I said " well is that yer 1st ever win against Rangers at Ibrox or the first in 20 odd years ? " .......there was a pause and he said " I'm not going g to answer that " ........great I said " because you had to think about it and then chose to say nothing means you have to think about how not to admit we are the same club !! , See ye later pal "

Priceless

Any shite like that from a mentally challenged

Your team are peodophiles child abusing FENNIAN bastards

Usually does the trick

THATS MAGICCCCCC

I stopped using it years ago because i did not want our support or club associated with them and i dont see any point in talking about football with them, nomatter what you say they will never admit being wrong and tend to find something a rangers supporter or player did or said before they were even born and will still argue they were at that game.

i find life better when we have nothing to say or do with them.

Liverpool is staunch m8, don’t let anybody tell you different. Everton is the tim side and Liverpool are the prods. Not as black and white as up here but not far behind.

I got into a discussion with Timbo in work.

Company=club, same thing blah, blah, blah.

I used Andy Murray as a hypothetical example to him.

I said "Andy Murray doesn't run his own affairs, he has a company that manages his affairs. Let's assume he has a rogue management team in charge and they decide to withdraw his tax and NI payments amongst other acts of mismanagement.

Let's assume the tennis authorities want him dead and punish him beyond what's considered fair and demote him to the satellite circuit. Andy works his way up to the top again, wins Wimbledon again.

Are you going to stand there and say "That's no' Andy Murray and that's that guy's first title"?

Dumbfounded. Argument over.

Tend to agree with them on the no OF thing
I never want our club to have any association with that entity and the obscene action from them over decades

When the admin two rumours started a few weeks ago a couple of drivers i work with were talking about us being kicked out the league. After i explained we had no debts other than to directors and said it would be silly to write off their own money by putting us in admin, i asked why we would be kicked out the league.
One of them said because its the second time you have been in administration(which I don’t think gets you automatically relegated anyway) but, i then said how can it be the second time if we are a new club?
They just started spouting about EBT’s and i walked away laughing.

Whatever the mhanks say , 55 will be 55 in the records whether they admit it or not and that is without counting the titles won during the war years . When it happens there will be extra traffic heading in the direction of Erskine Bridge .

I always say within earshot mordor for their shithole.Someone always bites. If talking about a game against them I make sure they here me call them filth.Again line baited and always something biting. They are easy peasy.

Here's a quote for them.

"If a football club can exist before it's incorporated it can exist after its disincorporated."

These threads depress me: everyone trying out out uber-prod each other.

'Ah've never even seen a tim; never spoken to one and I'm 65; hate each and every one' etc etc ad nauseum.

The uncomfortable fact is that, like any other support including ours, they have good, bad and indifferent.

Like it or not, the Yahoos have genuine fans who love Sellik and don't care about us or anyone

They've also got bigots, eejits, rockets and the scum of the earth, glorying in the Ibrox Disaster and wanking over sectarian murderers. Let's recognise the real enemy.

The only celtic fan I speak to about football is one of my best mates, doesn't do all the IRA anti-britain stuff, all about football for him, and he finds the sevco/new team stuff an absolute riddy

Yeah, I've got one at work who I got to admit we were not a new club.

Not taking any undue credit for it, though. I got the same guy to tell me, straight faced, what time the 'one o'clock gun' went off at Edinburgh Castle.

I like to ask them when Rangers win their next top title, will it be reported in the media as Title 55, yes or no?
Usual response is . . . " Aye, but" . . .
To which I butt in with a "Stop right there!!"
Point well and truly won. End of conversation.

While I hate them as much as anyone I genuinely do not believe a word of that. Are you seriously saying you have never socialised or have any family member even that’s a Tim? My family is what you could describe as very staunch with quite a few in the OO and we have quite a few in laws that are tims who have married into the family with not so much as eyelid batted. The split with my mates is prob 50/50. Not one of us in either side has any interest in anything to do with NI or religion. When it came to the independence ref all bar 2 of the boys who are proper bluenoses voted YES, which drove me mental tbf. Also watched he last OF game at Ibrox up here in Skye and it was around 60/40 in favour of us. There wasn’t a hint of bother and being an island everyone of them knew each other and were obviously friends.

Thankfully living in SA I don't encounter any where I live, its only bears and a few Motherwell fans, the rest support English teams.
