Are we back training on Monday?

Utterly disgraceful that we are in a situation where the players have had a couple of weeks off, returning to training on Monday and with a game against Hibs on 15th December only 10 days away.

The players were so unfit before the break and despite the injured player’s rehabilitation the rest of the squad have been on the beach other than 2 or 3.

Hang on a minute. Monday is the 28th. Hibs game is 15th. How’s that 10 days ?

18 days?

I thought the players were back on Wednesday? Gives the board another couple of days to have the appointment done and dusted.

No disgrace about it given the number of games they've played in that time think it's 27 or 28 games. They're not robots and time off would do them a world of good. If they're back on Monday it's not 10 days until Hibs game plus we have 2 matches in that time so be fine for Hibs.

17 days fella. Agree we were crazy unfit though hopefully we can get some sort of fitness work in within that 2.5 weeks but don’t know if it’s long enough

The players won’t be doing any hard physical training for the three days prior to the Hibs game and there is a closed doors game against Swansea at the weekend which leaves around 10 days that can be used for any real hard work.

That is a real problem with our squad just now and anyone that can’t see that has their head in the sand or is on another planet. Celtic meanwhile have been training over the last couple of weeks.

You are right, most of our players don’t know what hard work is.

At a quick count, we've played 59 competitive games this year, between mid-January to mid-November, with 27 of them in the first 3½ months of this season. You really believe training them hard for the full 5 weeks during this WC shutdown would have been the best preparation for the rest of the season? It's no wonder they already look fukd and are picking up so many injuries as it is. Carrying on without a break would have finished them. They're men, not machines.
