Aston Villa keeper assaulted at full time pitch invasion

Said it in the Viera thread the other day, it's out of control now and the police and security need to be held to account.

Similarly, anyone going on the pitch needs held to account, regardless of any assault.

Any prick encouraging their wean to go on and ask for a football top should be banned and reported to the social for exploitation.

Someone's going to get seriously hurt. Could be a daftie with a bottle or something could equally be a player who's had enough, decks someone and knocks them out

These pitch invasions are an absolute embarrassment. Folk cutting around with their phones taking selfies with players for social media.

Not clear where this inclination to run on the pitch to celebrate comes from.

Shocking imagine if he had stopped Man City from winning.

Things are regressing and would not like to see fencing/moats being brought in to control these morons as in the past.

The scum bag who attacked the player last week was jailed.

Time to punish the clubs, harshly.
Amazing how fast justice can be dished out when on national TV. Not that I'm against swift justice but because its football it seems to be quicker.
As for punishing clubs....not so sure. A few scum fans buy tickets for our game and run on pitch and we get punished...not for me.
Clubs need to do more however regards bans and removing STs etc

The Premier League and EFL have created this problem by turning a blind line to pitch invasions at end of season matches.

Both bodies should reiterate that it is a criminal offence to enter the pitch and press for prosecutions for those that do moving forwards. Once a few people get singled out for punishment the message will hit home. Coming on the pitch is a selfish thing which only serves to spoil the moment for those that remain in the stands

Fûcking shocking. What kind of scum do you need to be for that to even cross your mind when your team has just won the league.

3 similar incidents in little over a week as well.

Also good to see it widely condemned down south rather than it just being laughed at and those reporting it being dismissed as grasses.

Scumbags. Social media to blame for a lot of the ridiculous and cringy shite you see these days. Everyone wants their moment so they can get it on Instagram and everyone can give it a like.

And the media let’s be honest. For years they’ve reported on ‘emotional scenes’ when there’s pitch invasions, now they’re reaping what they sow.
