Automatic Seatsub

I see the club have started automatically putting tickets on Seatsub if you used Seatsub for a few previous games. Any idea how you stop this? I guess only way is to email the ticket office, no way to do this online?

Edit:- realised it was because I had put the original fixture against Ross County on Seatsub, nothing the club has done.

This is not quite correct.

It's if you fail to use your ticket and DON'T use Seat Sub for 4 games in a row. You'll get an email to inform you your ticket is going on Seat Sub until you take it off.

Seems like a sensible option. As long as it is easy enough to reverse.

Hopefully as the powers that be pick up on ticketing issues, passing a ST to a friend/family should be made easier - digital wallet etc, as an alternative to seatsub.

They could also make the rewards a little better to encourage more people to use seatsub if they can't make the game for whatever reason. That's got to be better than seats lying empty game after game.

Rangers dont want you passing it on. They want it to sell again.

Must be something wrong as the situation you’ve described above doesn’t apply to me.

Somebody I know got stung with this for the Aberdeen game last Tuesday, denied entry at the turnstile with his smart card.

This is an interesting post, as we can’t make Wednesday game, basically back to almost impossible public transport. So I went to Seat Sub, and lo and behold our tickets were already sold. Now I appreciate we’re getting to our dotage, but I honestly can’t remember completing Seat Sub?

Same as the OP, you probably Seat Subbed this game back in December when it was originally scheduled to be played.

Happened to me. Seat Sub game in December as working, tickets sold then were returned as buyer obviously didn’t want new date. To my surprise they sold again on Seat Sub despite me not listing them for new date, so it appears club auto lists them again for rearranged date.

Armchair loyal Wednesday now

The 3 seats to the right of me are without fail always empty. Apart from old firm games

Same with me mate, apparently you need to go in and reclaim the ticket. Didn’t realise that at all as I would have made the Feb 14th date.

You live and learn though.

Used to sit in the Club Deck and the seat directly in front of me was empty for every single game, except the two old firm games. Old guy would turn up for those, shout abuse and mention every 5 minutes how bored he was, before fucking off before the end of the game. He obviously was well off enough that he just kept renewing his season ticket every year, even though he couldn't be bothered actually using it most of the time. It's people like that I'm assuming the automatic seatsub is designed to stop. Although it's a 30 second job to take your seat back again, if you're really determined that no other pleb is sitting in 'your' seat.

Just as well I happened to check Seatsub, would have turned up for the game and card would not have worked. Plenty tickets available thankfully.

I think the club are cracking down on this. I'm aware of one guy possibly losing his season ticket after he passed it on for the Livingstone game.
Passed it on or sold it on?

if it was passed on, unless the person who took the ticket caused issues inside the ground, Then losing your ST would be a disgrace.

Selling it on is a different argument.

Passed on, it came to light when the recipient required medical treatment.

That's ridiculous if someone loses their ST over passing on a ST to someone they know.
Yeah it does as you trusting someone you know plenty do it

Problem is still breaches the terms and conditions as the season ticket is non-transferable so the club have that right to reclaimed it

I would be amazed/shocked if someone lost their ST for passing onto a friend/family who then had the audacity to take not well.

If the club are going to get much stricter on this then that is there right, but would be unenforceable. I have a ST in one of my sons names, but it shared with my other son. Are they going to start doing ID checks on 8 and 10 year olds?

They could stand elsewhere

My seat is in the govan front and i have sat in it once since i got it in 2015

I go and stand at the wall every game

It has always been the case about them been non-transferable

How it enforced is the reality and in this instance they have checked and as I said they are within their rights to reclaim the season ticket under the terms and conditions

If they really want to they could insist on ID checks but at a cost to them as they need employ more to do that process

The rewards are pretty decent. £31 for some matches

Sure you get 75% back on SeatSub. That’s pretty good IMHO.

Getting the fear now. I cannot make the next Celtic game but my sons mate is taking his and mine but I’m a concession.
How do I change this for one game to a full price adult ?

Email ticket office and upgrade to an adult if required. If it’s a juvenile, no need to upgrade.

Do you know if you get a credit for kids tickets on Seatsub?

I used it for my boys ticket for the Aberdeen game but there is still no credit showing on his account. His seat was sold as well.
Should do as far as I’m aware. Think it’s 75% of the value of pro rata cost per match for the kids season ticket (even if it sells to an adult) so it won’t be much.

Should do mate. I think it’s applicable to all tickets.

To be fair to the ticket office they have always been helpful re seatsub whenever I’ve asked about it. Drop them an email and see what they say.

Email the TO with your phone number and they’ll call you (from a withheld number) and you pay the difference.

I certainly ain't complaining, it let's me buy a single child ticket for anywhere in the BR and bring my other kid with me and we can all sit together

Got it lads. For some reason it shows it in a different section, I was just looking at SeatSub credit but it's in the "View your on-account details" section.

It was only £6, I thought it would be a bit more.

Think the way they calculate it now is to take the average ST price in your area for the appropriate class of ticket (child in your case). Divide that average ST cost by 19 and then give you 75% of that figure.

Something like that anyway.:)

That could get messy, I know a couple who share one season ticket between them because they’ve got young kids so they need to take it in turns to go

As I said in another post it has always been the case how they check or even enforced it is down to the club

It like the recent thing checking who using the correct season ticket going through the turnstiles
