We still have Patterson for right back and Simpson for centre half.
 
We'll win the league with Leon King at RB so why fret over a situation that hasn't even presented itself, we could go to a 3 with Bassey/Simpson at CB. Even Arfield/Wright at RWB, so many options and ones the coaches will have planned for
 
I think that the footballing authorities in Scotland have got themselves into a mess over this. Firstly, the 7 game ban for Jones and Edmundson was far too severe. In fact there is an argument which you could say that why is it even a matter for the SFA/SPFL? They don't get involved in other non-footballing matters, do they?

Additionally, you would say that the ball was up on the slates as soon as Celtic climbing onto that Dubai-bound plane...
 
If he's doubtful then no point in risking him. I know we've struggled on that pitch but confident that we'll take them out.

Being honest, the punishment the players received from the club should be it done now. The lambasting they received no doubt behind the scenes and in the media should be it.
Our club have adhered to protocols stringently and short of tying players up and locking them in a room what else could Rangers do, why should the club be punished? After we had two players banned for seven games and subsequent well highlighted and worse breaches of protocol from you know who were ignored by the SFA then we should lawyer up and fight any possible ban all the way. Or just release a statement telling them to GTF.

Surely there must be an investigation first to get all the details, much like the Dubai investigation. That was 2 months ago now and they still haven't completed it yet. So something that occurred 3 weeks ago is way down the line.

Guaranteed they courier a letter banning the players to Ibrox to arrive at 16.59 tomorrow afternoon. They are scum and will stoop to no depths to harm Rangers, our magnificent charge to the league and the plaudits we are getting across the continent for our swashbuckling, exciting brand of football will be hurting them more than they ever thought possible.
 
It only took 48 hours for the SFA to cite Jones and Edmundson, it was a fortnight later the 7 match bans were handed out. The only reason I can see why this hasn't happened with Patterson and Co is because the SFA blatantly and shamelessly ignored Dubaigate.

Thought Leon King was a CB??

Would prefer a recognised RB played at RB. Patterson springs to mind.

Any ban should be met with an appeal.

We should then be calling out the bans given to Edmundson and Jones in light of the actions of the Dubai 49, and asking what action has been taken in regards to them. Their current Manager admitted they also broke protocols.

We should also ask any ban for Patterson is deducted the games he missed as a result of the Scottish U21 farce where players were exposed to potential COVID and clubs were notified late he has to self isolate.
 
Shame for Leon and hope he recovers soon as he is good option to have. Under normal circumstances Patterson would cover for Tav until his return and I hope that is what happens. Obviously Tav been out is a bad thing for us but I hope Nathan can get some games to aid his development and it shows the other young players coming through. Balogun did a job for team but we are better playing players in natural position.

It's other folk worrying about not having a back up for Patterson due to Jack and Balogun being out, probably the same folk who wanted the boy sacked so any suspension would be worthless to them any road. King is a CB but played RB when he came on in the cup
