Big Helander tearing down the left wing
On second thoughts leave that lol
Big Helander tearing down the left wing
Thinking this alsoToo early for Helander to play 2 games in 4 days.
So Balogun for Sunday.
Not many goals in that side.Play all 3
then play Tav , Jack, Kamara, Aribo, Barisic in the middle
Up front the two new signings. If Roofe still injured play Kent or Hagi.
Wondered when someone would call for this. Absolute nonsense. Are you Walter Smith?I'd play Balogun at right back.
Why not both ?No point in saying pair them as Goldson is our first choice centre half and the organiser of the defence.
2 competitive games, they have played a game each and been really impressive.
Balogun looks mobile, good on the ball, composed and a great reader of the game.
Helander is an out and out defender, gets in blocks, and has terrific game awareness.
A lovely problem to have, who would you say is the better partner for Goldson?
Balogun has played right back before so he could fill in there if we have injuries but to suggest we should play him over Tav or Patterson vs St Mirren is mental.Wondered when someone would call for this. Absolute nonsense. Are you Walter Smith?
They actually seem similar so far on the limited viewing of Balogun. Helander's reading of the game is superb though.
This for me all day long. Goldson has been a certain start for too long. The competition will do us well.Helander is our best CB. If it was me I’d be playing him and Balogun. I think Gerrard will go Goldson and Balgoun on Sunday though.
Because we all know Goldson is 1st pick, it’s him plus 1 other. We all know that. Why not both ?
Play all three. Can't balogun play right back, leaving goldson and helander in the middle, cut out the service for the opposition down our rightNo need for 3 central defenders in our domestic football.
It's more creativity and attacking threat we need and that's what we've signed.

Balogun played well against a sheep side with no real striker who barely got out their own half - Helander was our motm against a top quality outfit who were battering us all game. Not slating Balogun in the slightest, but Helander has shown he's probably our best defenderBecause he was MOTM on Saturday and only out the team because he was ineligible. He should start on Sunday.
What am I watching for exactly?watch again
I think it depends on the opposition. In games where we are being pinned back by better teams then Helander is excellent, his lack of pace is not an issue. But against most of the SPFL where we are doing most of the attacking then I think we need centre half’s with pace as it’s the opposition hitting us on the break.Balogun played well against a sheep side with no real striker who barely got out their own half - Helander was our motm against a top quality outfit who were battering us all game. What Balogun offers is a bit more pace and driving runs forward. His passing looks a little more direct too. We need to see more of Balogun defensively.
We certainly knew that last season before we strengthened. Any of the 3 could drop out.Because we all know Goldson is 1st pick, it’s him plus 1 other. We all know that.
