To be fair Pep was probably a bit lucky aswell, not liek he was a top manager before barca.

Yeah that’s a good point. It’s not as though they were appointing a top manager when they have it to Pep, it was a rookie and they got lucky.

They have made some truly bizarre choices for managers since Pep. The whole club seems to be in disarray after a procession of transfer disasters

Shambles of a club. Had no strategy for life after Xavi and Iniesta. Didn't replace Neymar. Signed some absolute duds and paid a fortune for them. Swapping good promising players like Arthur for 30 something Pjanic.

Valverde stayed in a job after the 4-0 Roma humiliation. Same again after the Liverpool one last season.

Once Messi leaves they are well and truly fucked. If it wasn't for him they'd be miles off Real. Messi and Ter Stegen are their only true world class players now IMO. Suarez, Alba, Pique etc are all past their best.
