Ended up in the wall with HT last time. It’s either there or next door which has salsa dancing (which was surprisingly good) but area didn’t get busy until later after 10pm anyway but there’s a number of bars around there.

chris bar is a five minute walk up the hill from the square,
family owned and the guys are wecoming. good food and
tapas as well.

Sagres > Super Bock IMO. Also didn't have any decent pastel de nata when I was there 2 years ago. Had been to Lisbon about 6 weeks before and every one I had was excellent, but the ones up in Porto were a bit shit. Actually had better ones from a wee place when I was in Seville.

We stayed in an air bnb for the Porto game, right across the river from the square. it was a bit quieter there but several bars and an excellent indoor food / drink market.
