BBC - Has something changed?

I'd actually like to know McLaughlin's answer to his own question tbf, because up to now these things have been reported 'selectively' by him and many others.

The real answer is you either report all of them or none at all. It's called impartiality. Something he should try once in a while.
Perhaps The King has presented them with a very large dossier with evidence of this and told them to change their ways

Funny this thread came up. Was in my mates car on Saturday and actually heard Gordon say something positive about Rangers. So much so I said out loud “%^*& me! Dick Gordon in positive Rangers comment shocker!” Think it was related to our recent signings so let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

He and this rancid organisation are snakes. Never forget, never forgive. Bbc Scotland Scotland’s second shame.

Not sure if anything has changed but irrespective of what has gone on they have continually displayed a lack of professionalism and at times down right pettiness. This is probably due to most of them being raised by mongrels.

They don't want to change.

Stuck the radio on to get the team yesterday. They had Neil Alexander and the wee poet that Aberdeen have just re-signed on as guests. English's question to wee poet was how did he feel when he was told that he had received a bullet in the post!

Think I'll reserve judgement on a BBC change of attitude ... Fake News!

Tom Irish was doubting whether Rangers had the money to keep the loans after the summer.

Let's see how long this attempt at neutrality lasts. I reckon they'll be back to normal in a couple of weeks

Even if it is genuine, this supposed change doesn't do the BBC's credibility any good. It implies they haven't been reporting honestly for a number of years now, and senior management have been turning a blind eye

Rangers would do well to keep them at arms length until we see a bit more from them

Over 15 years of sustained bias & sneering.

Don't think I'll be paying attention to these wankers just because they've been nice to us yesterday.

I don't think their will be an apology, just a return to "normal" relations.
I'd also love to know whether Dave King has went in with an olive branch as some have stated or went in with a pair of steel toe capped boots and kicked ass. It really wouldn't take long to dig up enough examples of their biased reporting.
Either way, again as stated never forgive never forget. Although it's good for the older bears who can't use the net

Maybe the threat of Rangers fans taking the BBC to court over receiving a diluted service from them due to the football team they support and asking for a reduction in their licence fee as they're not receiving the same level of service as fans of other Scottish sides and are therefore being discriminated against because they're Rangers supporters

I really hope King has went in with a dossier and exposed them , it's a rancid outlet with a distinct unbalanced amount of anti Rangers bitter bitter people employed in it

BBC ban will be lifted and an apology from them will be forthcoming.

This was the outcome from King's meeting with them.

Apparently.
Where will they apologise? Their lies have been spread across the news, radio, website and twitter

A half arsed apology, mumbled on Sport sound on a Monday night, that doesn't mention the words Sorry or Apologise, won't cut it

Whilst it is clearly in everyone's interests to resolve this issue, I wouldn't trust that shower of bastards as far as I could throw them, which would be onto the rail tracks at Central Station, if I had my way (metaphorically speaking :) )

The BBC Scotland News only mentioned that we won 2-1 and that the first goal was a goalkeeping error. A little bit odd that being the only thing said and no mention of Cummings scoring on his debut

I thought that strange as well, they show the mistake but no mention of Cummings goal.

I had to go out this afternoon for the later part of the 2nd half so caught it on BBC Radio Scotland - admittedly haven't listened for a while but they did seem pretty positive (possibly overly positive) about our performance and signings / transfer business for the 20 minutes that I listened.

Fast Forward to tonight and Chris McLaughlin is on twitter saying stuff like this.

Am I reading too much in to this or is the BBC's attitude towards us shifting?
That he's even communicating with that prick should answer your question.

Maybe reading too much into it but was visible from the Final Score programme on Saturday there dores seem to be an improvement but no doubt the mask will slip as a leopard never changes its spots.

BBC ban will be lifted and an apology from them will be forthcoming.

Apparently.

There was no ban, except from the BBC.

We have been through this with Gollum before. He had his press pass withdrawn previously, it was all smoothed over and he got it back.

Then the prick just starts up again where he left off.

Pass withdrawn again.

The idea that they like to promote that he is a hapless victim, is typical, but wrong.

Off course they will .you know it and i know it.how many chances have we given them and they throw it back in our face.

Tom Irish was doubting whether Rangers had the money to keep the loans after the summer.
No he doesn’t.
Or, if he does, he’s even more stupid than I thought.
What, I think Irish is doing here is three fold.
Firstly, to septic fans and all other Rangers haters, he’s feeding them some footie porn.
Deride Rangers and most of these haters will hang on your every word and love you or it.
Secondly, he loves to wind up the Rangers support.
Not too difficult for most of us given that his name and his voice wind me up immediately.
Thirdly, he hates King and has been pouring scorn on him since King was ruled to be fit and proper.

BBC ban will be lifted and an apology from them will be forthcoming.

This was the outcome from King's meeting with them.

Apparently.
Will this be the public apology that they refused to do .they did offer to apologise to rangers in private for the mcoisi incident. But what we need is a public apology. Which we more than likely won,t get as this would show that they were wrong on the way they have covered theit reporting on rangers.

If this ends up resolved it will only be a matter of time before it explodes again.

The organisation at Pacific Quay is top heavy with Rangers hating bigots in positions of power.

Archie McPherson exposed them after the UEFA Cup final in Manchester when he said a loud cheer went up when Zenit scored.

We are the only Scottish side who is treated in this fashion and it is a disgrace from a state owned broadcaster.

I for one am not giving them the benefit of the doubt, they will have to earn my listening/ watching time. Sod them, they have made me switch off and hate their rancid organisation with their childish and bigotted shit.

McLaughlin’s taking an absolute pasting from the scum on twitter for that comment.

Really? I don't do twitter, mate, some examples would be interesting.

I wonder how much of the unfair journalism in this country could be attributed to pressure being put on journalists/media outlets by celtic fans/catholic church/so called sectarian groups?

I reckon these pressure sources have significant legal representation backing their agenda. I have believed this for some time since I was told that celtic fan QC Paul McBride(deceased) used to saunter through the Herald offices boasting he would have the scottish media dancing to celtics tune.

If a bit of pressure was applied from our side the balance may be swung more in our favour.

Rather than an apology, I'd prefer it if there was a cull of all their employees and a non bias recruitment system introduced to replace the current discriminative system which is based on what football club you hate the most. I wouldn't qualify for the position of gopher if it became available, not that I would apply in the first place mind.

Don't care what anyone says. I always considered at the time that this QC was the short end of the wedge and part of a bigger organised group of 'like minded' individuals who were conspiring to influence events in their favour. I also have no reason to believe that his untimely death would have resulted in the dissolution of this cabal either.

Noticed they just showed the keepers mistake tho and not Cummings goal

I had the Scottish news bulletin on last night (by accident) and it showed the first goal and the newreader said "Rangers first goal came from a goalkeeping error".

A select few.

“Last time Chris pointed out sectarian behaviour by this bunch led to him being banned from Ibrox and the BBC's "ongoing situation with the Ibrox club"

Yet his bosses still behave like lickspittles a s are craven in reporting truth of the matter.

Expect nothing less from Chris!”

“So when your working as a tv journalist you become deaf. Surely thats an occupational hazard that the Health and Safety Executive would be involved in perhaps. Do you have to fill in an accident form in after every Rangers game Chris?”

“Because he's a sevco toady whose job depends on him protecting the demographic.”

“When it comes to Sevco Chris McLaughatme and the rest BBC boys have selective sight and hearing.”

“Chris if they sung about Muslims, Jews or any other sector of society BBC would be all over it. Only in Scotland do you accept that it’s OK for over 100yrs to attack Irish/ Catholics. You really are shameless.”

I can quite believe this. Celtic fans actually believe the BBC is biased against them and pro Rangers, same with the Daily Record! It’s quite incredible.

The scum also think they’re victims.

Good God!!!!

To keep the sense of victim hood alive they have to keep on pushing the agenda even though it is clear that the BBC have been bullied by the rc loudmouth community.

This would be more effective. There is no way the likes of Spiers, Gordon, Irish and Spence are going to change their tune. Their bigotry is ingrained.

Perhaps The King has presented them with a very large dossier with evidence of this and told them to change their ways

How funny would it be if King had managed to get hold of some more emails, this time from the BBC showing them up to all kinds of nonsense.

Thought that you would have figured it out by this time, Barry, they are a very confused people. Today’s confusion has convinced them that Charly Musonda is a better player than Brian Laudrup.
